Singer Debbie Gibson, a contestant on this season’s The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, won $50,000 during last night’s episode on behalf of her charity of choice, Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization.
Children International president and CEO Jim Cook said, “Children International is ecstatic about Debbie Gibson’s big win! Her donation will help us bring lasting hope to children in India living in dire poverty.”
Gibson’s winnings didn’t come easy. She volunteered as project manager to lead her team in creating a live launch event for the new Buick Verano. A heated boardroom concluded with Gibson’s team winning the task and the prize money for charity.

Singer songwriter Debbie Gibson will appear on the premiere episode of the fifth installment of The Celebrity Apprentice. She will play for the Kansas City charity Children International.
The Celebrity Apprentice is a reality television show where celebrities compete in weekly challenges and donate any winnings to their personal charities. Every week, the celebrity contestants will work in two teams, each under the guidance of a designated project manager, to compete in business-driven tasks around New York City, using their fame, along with their proven business acumen, to win challenges.

Job seekers who want potential employers to “show them the money” may be in luck, a new Robert Half survey suggests. More than one-third (38 percent) of executives interviewed said they are more willing to negotiate salary with top candidates than they were one year ago. Just 5 percent of respondents said they are less willing to negotiate.

The 2011 China (International) Urban Development Co-operation and Tourism Destination Brand Marketing Summit was held in Sanya, Hainan province from the 19th to the 22nd of November 2011. This is the first major annual meeting bringing together advertisers in the travel field from both within and outside of China. The event was jointly hosted by the China Association of National Advertisers – Tourism Advertisers Branch, the Hainan Tourism Development Commission and the municipal government of Sanya. The Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) successfully completed its first flight test today at White Sands Missile Range, N.M.
The PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) MEADS Certified Missile Round was employed during the test along with the MEADS lightweight launcher and battle manager.
The test demonstrated an unprecedented over-the-shoulder launch of the MSE missile against a simulated target attacking from behind. It required a unique sideways maneuver, demonstrating a 360-degree capability. The missile executed a planned self-destruct sequence at the end of the mission after successfully engaging the simulated threat.
