Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo Nazario, was in Barcelona this week to take part in an invitational charity poker tournament as part of Spain’s biggest annual poker festival, the European Poker Tour (EPT). The tour, which is now in its tenth season runs from August 26 – September 7 in a luxurious annexe of Casino de Barcelona in the Hotel Arts Barcelona.

Farmers Insurance is ringing in the New Year by honoring those who make us smarter with the “Thank A Million Teachers” float at the Tournament of Roses Parade. In Farmers’ 55th entry to the renowned event, the float will celebrate the “Thank A Million Teachers” initiative, which invites America to make 2014 the year to thank a million teachers. Riding the float will be honored educators from Montana and Nevada, alongside local Los Angeles students. Through the “Thank A Million Teachers” platform, Farmers has committed up to $1,000,000 in funds to classrooms and education programs. The celebration at the 2014 Rose Parade follows a recent kick-off event where actor Jack Black offered the first “thank you” to his former teacher and mentor, Debbie Devine.

Golden Bridge 2019 Martial Arts Lelystad Netherlands by Mark de Haan

Kai Jansen organised a bigg martial arts tournament in Nettetal a city in Germany, Europe. Douwe Geluk and his martial arts team participated at this bigg event and performed the Chinese martial arts of: Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi Chuan, Weapons and more. Douwe Geluk from Apeldoorn city particpated with Taijiquan, Tai Chi Chuan also known as Tai Ji and won two golden medals at this Dutch event.
ATA Karate For Kids is a specialized program created exclusively for children. The Karate for Kids program includes two age groups. Pre-school karate for kids classes are for children ages 3-6 and the karate for kids classes for children ages 7 through 12. The foundation of the martial arts ATA curriculum is the ongoing ATA review and development of life-skills such as positive mental attitude, high goal-setting, perseverance, self-control and confidence.
Karate For Kids training is designed to be fun and fulfilling for each student. This is because Taekwondo is an individual activity rather than a team sport. Therefore every student is an active and valuable participant in class. They work out with kids their own age and size under well-supervised conditions, and progress at their own pace.
Through personal growth and achievement, students advance with a martial arts belt rank but are also acknowledged for outstanding performance in martial arts class, school, home, special events, or in tournament competition.
