Kubota Tractor Corporation has announced the availability of its second phase of all-new Kubota Hay Tools in dealerships nationwide. The recently expanded hay tools line brings to market new round balers and turntable bale wrappers; side-mounted and trailed disc mowers; trailed mower conditioners; and a complete range of rotary tedders and rakes.
The new machinery is designed specifically for the U.S. market to further expand Kubota's presence in the larger agricultural product market. "With our extended line of hay tools, we are building on the success of our well-received initial hay tools launch last year and responding to outstanding dealer and customer demand for more high-performing implements from Kubota," said Dave Palmer, senior product manager of Kubota hay tools. ITC Transmission, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ITC Holdings Corp., the nation’s largest independent electricity transmission company, today announced its Thumb Loop high-voltage transmission project is complete with the energization of the third and final phase of the project. ITC invested an estimated $510 million to build the 345,000 volt (345 kV) line, which serves as the backbone of a system designed to meet the identified maximum wind energy potential of Michigan’s Thumb region. The winners of the Natural Light - International Design Competition have now been chosen from the 172 impressive Natural Light Lamp designs submitted from 65 countries around the world. The winners are two very talented Argentinian Industrial Design students, Ms. Mariana Arando and Mr. Luca Fondello, both from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The production phase of the winning design for the Natural Light Lamp will begin shortly, followed next year by shipment of the lamps to three African countries without access to electricity.
Last year, the VELUX Group and Little Sun joined forces to launch the Natural Light – International Design Competition, which challenged design students around the world to create a design for a solar lamp which would help to bring clean, reliable, affordable light to some of the 1.2 billion people worldwide living without electricity. Now the jury has voted and decided on the winning solar lamp design by two Industrial Design students from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

Es sei geplant, von 2014/2015 an Fahrzeuge mit elektrifiziertem Antrieb anzubieten, die zum Teil lokal produziert werden. Bereits 26 Modelle des Konzerns sind von staatlicher Seite als besonders energiesparend und umweltschonend anerkannt worden. Volkswagen habe den verbrauch seiner in China derzeit mehr als 70 Modelle umfassenden Flotte zwischen 2005 und 2010 um 20 Prozent reduziert und werde ihn bis 2015 um weitere 11 Prozent senken.
XCMG, the world’s fifth largest construction equipment company, unveils the XE15R hydraulic intelligent excavator, its first fully remote-controlled excavator, signaling a new phase in XCMG’s intelligentization of its excavator series.
Without a cab, XE15R is the company’s smallest excavator at 1.35m in height and 1.08m in width. Nicknamed “Little Swan”, the machine is agile and flexible in challenging working conditions.
The newly developed XE15R features a wireless control function with a 100-meter range, and integrates mechanic, electronic and hydraulic control technology with a CAN bus interface design. Unmanned driving reduces labor intensity, particularly useful in severe operating environments, such as toxic conditions or extreme temperatures.
As an intelligent excavator, XE15R also features a self-learning function. It can save operating maneuvers and then replay them automatically on request, a breakthrough that further ensures security, agility and reliability in operation.
“Intelligentization is an inevitable choice as XCMG follows the path of new industrialization, and XE15R shows that we do what we say. Its design embodies our pursuit of efficiency and user friendliness.” said Wang Min, president of XCMG. Today, Novo Nordisk announced new phase 3 interim data from its guardianTM2 trial for its recombinant coagulation factor VIII (rFVIII) product NovoEight® (turoctocog alfa), the first new rFVIII molecule in over a decade, which shows that it provides long-term reduction from bleeding in people with haemophilia A when used as a preventative treatment.1 The results were presented at the World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH) World Congress and support findings from other studies within the guardianTM clinical programme that found NovoEight® demonstrated good efficacy in preventing and treating bleeds without inhibitor development in previously treated patients.

NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG), NRG Yield, Inc. (NYSE: NYLD), and SunPower Corp. (NASDAQ: SPWR) today announced the completion of the final phase of the California Valley Solar Ranch (CVSR) photovoltaic (PV) generating facility in San Luis Obispo County, California, bringing total electric generating capacity of the plant up to 250 megawatts (AC). NRG acquired CVSR from SunPower in 2011, and the project is jointly owned by NRG Yield (48.95%). CVSR is one of the world’s largest operating solar PV power plants and will sell its electricity to Pacific Gas & Electric under two long-term power purchase agreements.
