Das markante Gesicht mit charakteristischen BMW Designmerkmalen, wie Doppelniere, Doppelrundscheinwerfer sowie großem Lufteinlass in der Frontschürze, zeigt bewusst die Verwandtschaft zur BMW 3er Familie; unterstreicht aber in seiner sportlicheren Interpretation die dynamische Ausrichtung des BMW 4er Coupé. Als neue Elemente weist das BMW 4er Coupé hinter den vorderen Radläufen sogenannte Air Breather auf, die den Luftwiderstand im Bereich der Radhäuser reduzieren. In der flach gestalteten Heckansicht mit betont horizontaler Linienführung kommen die muskulösen Radhäuser und die breite Spur besonders gut zur Geltung.

Interesse fand der Peugeot 308 dabei nicht nur bei den von den Kölner Marketing-Strategen definierten Hauptzielgruppen junge Ehepaare und junggebliebene Senioren, deren Kinder schon lange einen eigenen Hausstand haben, sondern auch bei Familien mit Kindern. Augenscheinlich, dass das klare Design des 308 bei der potentiellen Kundschaft ankommt. Über die weiteren Vorzüge wie effiziente Motoren und moderne Technologien sowie das innovative Innenraumkonzept wird dann wohl erst nach einer Probefahrt entschieden werden. Zur Markteinführung stehen drei Benziner und zwei Dieselmotorisierungen von 60 kW/82 PS bis 115 kW/155 PS zur Auswahl. Sie sind besonders effizient und verbrauchsarm. So kommt der 1.6 l e-HDi Diesel mit 85 kW/115 PS, STOP & START-System und rollwiderstandsoptimierten Reifen auf einen Verbrauch von kombiniert nur 3,7 Liter je 100 Kilometer. Der CO2-Ausstoß liegt bei 95 Gramm pro Kilometer. Die Preise für die Benzinversionen beginnen bei 16.450 Euro, die Diesel bei 19.550 Euro, jeweils zzgl. Überführungskosten.

Jaguar announced the three renowned actors to appear in “Rendezvous,” its 60-second television advertisement to debut during the second half of Super Bowl XLVIII, and revealed details of its largest-ever brand and product marketing campaign, called “British Badboys” which introduces the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe (on sale spring, 2014). “Rendezvous” stars Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong, and was filmed by Oscar-winning British director, Tom Hooper, in London. It is Jaguar’s first Super Bowl TV advertisement.

Zum Start der neuen Radsaison führt die Deutsche Verkehrswacht (DVW) die bundesweite Aktion „Ich trag´ Helm“ fort, mit der sie für das freiwillige Tragen von Fahrradhelmen wirbt. Um modebewusste Radfahrerinnen und Radfahrer für das Helmtragen zu begeistern, setzt die DVW aktuell die Akzente auf das Thema „Mode und Fahrradhelm“. Als prominenten Paten für die Aktion konnte die DVW den Modedesigner Guido Maria Kretschmer gewinnen. Er zeigte sich von der Idee begeistert, Fahrradhelme mit Mode-Outfits zu kombinieren und nahm die künstlerische Herausforderung an, dies mit seinen Models umzusetzen. Besonders medienwirksam für die Kampagne war das Engagement des Stardesigners auf seiner After-Show-Party während der Berliner „Fashion Week“. Dort trugen seine Models handelsübliche Fahrradhelme zur Abendgarderobe. Auf der Party wurde ein Video-Podcast produziert, der die Models und die Reaktion der Gäste, zum Beispiel von Jorge Gonzalez, zeigt.
Three out of seven large pickup trucks evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in a new round of crash tests earn an acceptable or higher rating for occupant protection in a small overlap front crash.
IIHS evaluated two body styles of each 2016 model-year pickup — crew cab and extended cab. Crew cabs have four full doors and two full rows of seating. Extended cabs have two full front doors, two smaller rear doors and compact second-row seats.
IIHS last year decided it would test the two most popular variants of large pickups instead of just one after discovering that the Ford F-150 extended cab lacked structural countermeasures that helped the crew cab earn the top rating of good in the small overlap test. The test replicates what happens when a vehicle runs off the road and hits a tree or pole or clips another vehicle that has crossed the center line.
Ford improved the 2016 model F-150 SuperCab to clinch a good rating in the small overlap crash test, up from the 2015 model’s marginal rating. The F-150 is the only large pickup in the latest test group to earn the Institute’s top rating in the test. It joins the F-150 SuperCrew in earning a 2016 TOP SAFETY PICK award when equipped with Ford’s optional basic-rated forward collision warning system.
Vehicles that earn a basic rating for front crash prevention plus good ratings in the small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint evaluations qualify for TOP SAFETY PICK. To qualify for 2016 TOP SAFETY PICK+, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the five crashworthiness tests and an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention.

Bei der dritten Generation des kompakten Sportwagens haben die Designer viele Ideen der ersten-TT-Generation von 1998 neu interpretiert - auf dynamische und facettenreiche Weise. An der Front des neuen dominieren die Horizontalen. Der Singleframe-Grill ist breit und flach gezeichnet. Zwei Konturen ziehen sich V-förmig über die Motorhaube. Neu ist auch die Position der Vier Ringe, diese befinden sich jetzt mittig auf der Motorhaube und zeigen die Verwandtschaft zum R8. Stege gliedern die großen Lufteinlässe. Die Scheinwerfer wiederholen dieses Motiv - sie sind mit Trennstegen strukturiert, die das Tagfahrlicht abstrahlen.
