MSC Cruises has revealed today details of the two new Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows that are being created specifically for MSC Bellissima. The breath-taking shows will be called SYMA – Sail beyond Imagination and VARÉLIA – Love in Full Color and will be available exclusively to MSC Bellissima guests, following her launch in March 2019.
The long-term partnership between MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil first began in 2013 and has since set new standards in live entertainment at sea. The partnership, in total, will result in eight original shows that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world, exclusively on MSC Cruises’ Meraviglia generation ships coming into service between 2017 and 2020. MSC Meraviglia was the first ship to debut the new Cirque du Soleil at Sea concept with the launch of the two shows VIAGGIO and SONOR last June. Work is already underway for MSC Grandiosa, launching in November 2019, and MSC Virtuosa, launching October 2020.

While more than 245 million Americans live within 100 miles of a national forest or grassland, research shows that a majority of children in some segments of the population are not spending active time outdoors. Research shows that only 37% of African American children ages 6-12 participate in outdoor recreation, compared to 67% of Caucasian children in the same age range. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held from June 20 to 22, 2013 – this year’s theme was “Finding Resolve to Build the New Global Economy”.
2013 was a record SPIEF year for the number of attendees – 7190 people attended, from 87 countries, out of which total there were 1245 media representatives. The Russian and international business community was well represented – SPIEF 2013 was attended by 176 major foreign corporations and 436 large-scale Russian businesses. Out of the companies who attended, 67 leaders of the foreign businesses, and 24 leaders of the Russian corporations have Forbes or Fortune listings. It is 100 years since a simple song was released to the public. A song that unites music legends Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash and The Pogues. One song that Elvis loved so much he had it played at his funeral. Yes, it’s the one and only Danny Boy. And it is celebrating its 100th birthday on June 21st, 2013. The song’s melody was first heard in Ireland in the streets of Limavady, County Londonderry where it was known as The Londonderry Air. However it wasn’t until 1910 that Frederick Weatherly, an Englishman, composed the lyrics for this melody. His famous words were published in 1913, making this year the song’s 100th anniversary.

Following another hugely successful year, Facilities Show will celebrate its 15th anniversary by relocating from the NEC Birmingham to ExCeL London in June 2014.
Facilities Show 2013 took place from 14 to 16 May and was a roaring success, welcoming 15,830 attendees (subject to ABC audit) through its doors, an increase of 17.25 percent on 2012, and a fifth consecutive year of double digit attendee growth. Reflecting this success, a 3 percent visitor increase was also seen across the whole of Protection and Management Week, including Safety & Health Expo, IFSEC International & FIREX International.
