This will go on for the entire year! The CD will then be released on November 18th, 2014.
Sarantos has always been inclined to help people in need and is proud to launch this CD as a way to donate a significant portion of proceeds to charity, hopefully inspiring other artists to do the same. The 11 charities chosen for each album song include American Lung Association, Make-a-wish Foundation, American Heart Association, St Jude's, Hellenic Academy, ASERF, American Red Cross, Children's Hospital of Chicago, Chicago Medical School, Thanioton Society & the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Last night Sandvik Coromant, a global leading supplier of cutting edge tools, tooling solutions and know-how to the metalworking industry, lit up the Chicago skyline with insightful images designed to spread the word about the profound impact data and technology has on the manufacturing industry and people’s daily lives. The display also included inspirational images depicting the future of digital manufacturing created by Samuel and Erika Flickinger, a brother and sister from Decatur, IL. The two students, who participated in STEM education “Dream It. Do It.” summer camps created by The Manufacturing Institute, literally helped ‘flip the switch’ on the light show and also each received a $1,000 check toward their future education.

During the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2017 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo™ in Chicago, scientists reported on a recent study which uncovered that the intake of pistachios reduces the rise in blood sugar and insulin in women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM)—commonly known as gestational diabetes. The study, “Effects of Pistachio Intake on Postprandial Blood Glucose Response in Pregnant Women,” found when women who were gestational glucose intolerant (GIGT) or who were diagnosed with GDM ate pistachios, they had a significantly lower rise in blood glucose levels compared to eating whole wheat bread that was matched for calories.
