Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, today received the prestigious 2016 Deming Prize for its Pantnagar manufacturing facility. The Deming Prize is a global quality award and is the oldest and most widely recognized quality award in the world. This prize is awarded to companies that have established Total Quality Management (TQM) in their business operations. Ashok Leyland Pantnagar has become the first truck and bus plant in the world and also the only CV manufacturer outside of Japan to win the Deming Prize.

SCORE has launched the fifth annual American Small Business Championship – a national competition celebrating the best small business owners from across the nation, made possible with funding from Sam’s Club. Construction is complete at A/D/O, a new 23,000 square-foot creative space, which opens to the public in Greenpoint, Brooklyn following the holiday season. Its first program, entitled “Utopia vs. Dystopia: Designing Our Imagined Futures,” investigates the role design plays in a world of rapid change. As a first-time Pillsbury Bake-Off® Contest finalist, winner of the Appetizers for Any Party category, Melissa Jollands found inspiration for her Grand Prize recipe on a special trip to Ireland with her husband.
