Invacare Corporation (NYSE:IVC), the global leader in home and long-term care medical products, today is launching “Real Life,” a new campaign dedicated to raising awareness of the everyday struggles and achievements of those living with disabilities, ailments or advancing age. For these individuals, even “ordinary” tasks like getting dressed, preparing for the day ahead, caring for children, driving a car or going to work can require extraordinary effort — yet few people are aware of these everyday struggles and achievements. Invacare has created this awareness campaign and platform so that people can share their ‘real life’ stories — or the story of someone who inspires them — for a chance to win cash prizes for themselves and the charity of their choice.

The question is whether to buy an entire vineyard or just a bottle of tequila - the answer to this question doesn’t always depend on the price. While normally nobody would even give it a thought, a fine tequila distillery in Mexico has filled a bottle that probably will not change hands for any less than 3.5 million U.S. dollars - the equivalent of an unbelievable 2.5 million Euros. Prince William and Kate would be surprised, as a bottle of their wedding Champagne only costs a mere 165 euros. German TV legend Günther Jauch is more interested in the products of his own vineyard - from which the quiz master learns a lot, as he says.
Two-thirds of all CEOs surveyed believe the economy has improved during the past year and half expect further gains during the year ahead. The Vistage CEO Confidence Index was 105.2 in the 1st quarter of 2011, slightly below 106.3 recorded in the prior quarter but well above the 93.7 in last year’s 1st quarter survey. CEO confidence has more than doubled since the recession low of 48.7 two years ago. However, the small decline reflects a renewed uncertainty about the impact of events in Japan and the Middle East on energy costs, consumer spending and inflation. Overall, the majority of CEOs still expect the recovery to continue and their own businesses to continue to grow.

Pampers honors these 50 years of parenting by unveiling its Little Miracle Missions program, which seeks to celebrate, support and protect babies everywhere through acts of kindness to little miracles (babies) and their families, while encouraging parents to “pay it forward” and support others. On Monday, Pampers and Graham’s Foundation (an organization that provides care packages that offer both practical and emotional support for the parents of micro-preemies) began donating more than 30,000 care packages to families with babies in level-three Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) across the country, for the care of premature or ill newborn babies. Yesterday, Pampers continued the celebration by partnering with a variety of celebrity parents who have their own personal miracle stories.
