The finalists’ videos ranged from simple stories of cats’ playtime antics to complex stories about cats’ creative imaginations, but in the end, “The Friskies” $15,000 Grand Prize for “Best Video” went to a story about a very happy blind cat, who enthusiastically uses his senses of hearing and touch to play like every cat.
The winners were announced and the Catuettes and prizes were awarded at a one-of-a-kind awards show in Hollywood yesterday by Friskies® to celebrate the art form of Internet cat videos and the best new cat videos of 2012. Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race returns for a third season this summer, with host Tyler Florence presiding over the cross-country culinary road trip with a brand-new twist: no longer a competition between current food truck operators as in prior seasons, this high-stakes battle is between eight teams who desperately want to be in the food truck business – they have a dream, a concept and insane culinary skills. Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford today announced that the state’s Cash Dash unclaimed property program has a new name, I-Cash, and has added 780,000 new names to the public web database. The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office is making this effort to connect even more Illinois residents with their cash and assets.
I-Cash, part of the Illinois State Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division, connects state residents with their unclaimed property. The program was established in 1999 with the goal of helping Illinois residents through the process of reclaiming money or assets. It’s common for people to lose track of their assets when they move or when loved ones pass away, and businesses and banks are required to turn over unclaimed accounts to the treasurer’s office.
