Today, Race Imboden, 2011 graduate of The Dwight School, was officially named to the United States Olympic Team by the US Fencing Association. After the fourth World Cup event, he mathematically qualified for the Olympics in Men’s Foil based on his high team rankings. Mr. Imboden is currently #6 in the FIE (Fédération Internationale d’Escrime) World Senior Rankings, #2 in the USA Fencing Division I (Senior), and #2 in the USA Fencing Under 19 Division (Junior).
“I couldn’t be more excited and honored to be competing as a member of Team USA, especially in London because my mother’s home country is England. For nine years, I have been working toward this goal with the amazing support and sacrifice of my parents to whom I’m eternally grateful. I’m also grateful to The Dwight School, which helped me to achieve my dream of competing in the Olympics by allowing me the time and flexibility to train, travel the world, and compete while I was a student,” said Mr. Imboden.

Last night, Paris Hilton, Slash, will.i.am, Joe Jonas and a whole host of other superstars helped launch Sydney’s newest nightlife venue – Marquee – The Star, Sydney, a joint partnership between Echo Entertainment and Tao Group.
Over 1,000 party-goers were the first to enjoy the new venue as they partied into the night with electrifying performances by Dutch DJ Afrojack and Redfoo from electro pop duo LMFAO.

Newly formed entertainment company The Mogue Collective announces the launch of Dance2LAX: a non-competitive dance workshop featuring eight classes by world famous choreographers Brian Friedman (X-Factor; Britney Spears), Laurie Ann Gibson (Lady Gaga), Gil Duldulao (Janet Jackson) and UK based Sisco Gomez (So You Think You Can Dance), also boasting celebrity host Carmit Bachar from the original Pussycat Dolls. The two-day intensive event will be held for the first time in London at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Monarch Ballroom, April 7th and 8th 2012. Singer Debbie Gibson, a contestant on this season’s The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC, won $50,000 during last night’s episode on behalf of her charity of choice, Children International, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization.
Children International president and CEO Jim Cook said, “Children International is ecstatic about Debbie Gibson’s big win! Her donation will help us bring lasting hope to children in India living in dire poverty.”
Gibson’s winnings didn’t come easy. She volunteered as project manager to lead her team in creating a live launch event for the new Buick Verano. A heated boardroom concluded with Gibson’s team winning the task and the prize money for charity.
