The Rhythm Foundation is a non-profit organization celebrating its 19th season of presenting outstanding international artists in South Florida. They are the foremost presenter of world music in South Florida - presenting more than 250 concerts, events and festivals by established and innovative artists from around the world. Special focus is given to those cultures connecting to South Florida audiences - music from Brazil, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Europe. How worthy are the poor and the oppressed people in the eyes of national and international communities? This is the main question of this book, which presents the despair of the population of the third world countries, who endlessly cry their sorrows so that meaningful international attention would be granted to them.

This book of poetry is written to encourage a better dependence upon God and a greater solidarity to the poor and needy people of the world. It takes the risk to approach the problems of the poor from the viewpoint of the Sovereign God, and it does so with the intent to encourage a sense of compassion in our human societies.
