Tourism Australia has launched its latest campaign, which is focused on highlighting the country’s world-class aquatic and coastal experiences, in a bid to lure more international visitors to Australia.
The new creative, the latest instalment in Tourism Australia’s global There’s Nothing like Australia campaign, was officially unveiled at an event in New York on Australia Day eve attended by Australia’s Minister for Foreign Affairs the Hon. Julie Bishop.
Guests at the event were treated to immersive ‘virtual reality’ displays and aquatic-themed images being projected onto the ice rink at the famous Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park alongside the reveal of a new broadcast ad, featuring a voiceover by Australian actor and new Tourism Australia global ambassador Chris Hemsworth. The event was hosted by Australian chef Curtis Stone and guests enjoyed a specially designed Australian menu by Luke Mangan.

Bir kere ben, arkadaşlarımla berâber salıncakta oynarken annem Ümmü Rumân bana doğru geldi ve beni çağırdı. Ben de annemin yanına geldim. Beni ne edeceğini bilmiyordum. Annem elimi tuttu. Tâ evin kapısı önün (e geldiğimizde ora) da beni durdurdu. Ben de yorgunluktan kaba kaba soluyordum. Nihâyet soluğum biraz yatıştı. Sonra annem biraz su aldı. Onunla yüzümü, başımı sıvazladı. Sonra beni eve koydu. Evde Ensâr`dan birtakım kadınlar hazır bulunyordu. Bunlar bana: - Hayır ve bereket üzere geldin, hayırlı kısmet getirdin! di(ye alkışla) dılar. Annem beni bu kadınlara teslîm etti. Bunlar da benim kılığımı, kıyâfetimi düzlediler ve Resûlullah`a teslîm ettiler. Beni hiçbir şey sıkmadı. Ancak Resûlullah salla`llahu aleyhi ve sellem`i habersiz görünce sıkıldım. (Resûlullah bir sedir üzerine oturmuştu. Yanında Ensâr erkeklerinden, kadınlarından oturanlar vardı. Beni Resûlullah yanına oturttu). Ensâr kadınları beni Resûlullah`a takdîm ettiklerinde ben dokuz yaşında bir kızdım.

Al Maryah Island hosted Abu Dhabi’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration, a spectacular evening of music and fireworks. Thousands of families and friends filled the island’s waterfront Promenade where they enjoyed an electrifying concert with Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop sensation Mohamed Hamaki, and winner of Arab Idol 2015, Mohammed Assaf.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed hearing their favourite songs performed during the five-hour show, which culminated in an exhilarating midnight countdown, followed by a breath-taking firework display.
The evening was a landmark occasion in Al Maryah Island’s colourful events calendar and was staged through a partnership between Mubadala and Platinum Records, the leading record label company which operates under the umbrella of MBC Group.

On the eve of World Cancer Day 2015, amidst the ongoing cost-of-cancer-care debate, PACE (Patient Access to Cancer care Excellence), a Lilly Oncology initiative, is launching the PACE Continuous Innovation Indicators™ (CII). CII is the first evidence-based, customizable online tool to review progress against cancer over time—initially covering 12 cancer types. The purpose of the tool is to inform public policy reforms and other efforts to accelerate continuous innovation against cancer.
“We have seen tremendous progress in cancer treatment and care during the past decades, and continuous innovation, with one discovery building on another, is responsible for most of it,” said John C. Lechleiter, Ph.D., Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE:LLY). “To keep the momentum going, we need policies that support continuous innovation, but first we need a deeper understanding of the innovations that have occurred, and where we need to be.”
