A new water system now serves El Salado in Colombia after being chosen by Ferrovial for its Social Infrastructure programme in 2016. €162,000 euros has been invested in the aqueduct system, which is powered by a solar facility and is the first of its kind in Colombia. The community now has daily access to water fit for human consumption. Until now, it had a poor quality water supply that was only available for a few hours, three days a week, due to high maintenance costs.
The community of El Salado in Colombia was scarred by the massacre that took place 18 years ago, where 66 people were killed. All the residents abandoned the village and uprooted to Bogotá, Cartagena or Sincelejo, but a small group of former El Salado villagers eventually began the task of restoring the village for the return of its inhabitants.

I was inspired to write this song shortly after I had first watched a video by Danai Moraiti which was her performing a Greek song "i garsona (Panos Tountas)" on her electric piano. What really captured my heart was her most beautiful smile at the end of her performance. I have never seen such a smile in all of this world. From that moment on, I ordained her to be my QUEEN OF SMILES !!!! .... That was well over a year ago as I had encountered a problem after I had already sang the lyrics that I had written for this song. I didn't know then as I do not know now, how to pronounce her name in English .... A most embarrassing dilemma .... In English, the combination of "ai" creates a long vowel "A"sound but her name is in Greek. I spent over a month researching her name on Google and I asked people who were European but nobody knew for sure and so I abandoned this song. I didn't know Danai as well back then and I did not wish to mispronounce her name but we are such good friends now that I feel more comfortable in taking this risk. If I am wrong on the pronunciation of her name, I will then wear a tutu and dance the Nutcracker for DANAI as we go fishing.

I composed this song about 6 years back as part of my attempt to do a full length musical about a train targeted by terrorists. the whole project was about 45 minutes long until I abandoned it due to it taking up so much of my time as I wanted to start focusing my attention on songs such as the one\'s that I have uploaded to this site. National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders announced today that they have invested a total of 137 million dollars into predominantly Latino communities that have been hard hit by foreclosures. This effort has successfully restored neighborhoods and stabilized communities in eight states and the District of Columbia.
The initial investment of funds came from a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is the largest grant ever targeted by the federal government to predominantly Latino communities.

Consumer Products, internationally renowned dog behavior expert Cesar Millan, and Scooby-Doo were joined by over a thousand dogs and their loyal owners for the Scooby-Doo and Cesar Millan National Family Pack Walk on Sunday, October 30, at Lake Balboa Park in Van Nuys, CA.
