Der Cicero Rednerpreis wird vom Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft seit 1994 für herausragende rhetorische Leistungen verliehen. Eine unabhängige Jury ermittelt jährlich den Preisträger. Peer Steinbrück gilt nach Meinung der Jury als streitbarer Redner mit der besonderen Fähigkeit, Reden und Handeln in Einklang zu bringen.
