Today, 99 Cents Only Stores celebrates their latest feat of becoming the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title holder for the Largest packaged product number. In a fast-moving production that took less than 24 hours, 100 people and over 12,000 products on the field of the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., the retailer created a gigantic 18,200 square foot “99” display in celebration of their inaugural #99Day customer appreciation event. As the sun rose above the world-famous stadium in the most picturesque scene, a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator verified the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title and presented the 99 Cents Only Stores with the official certification for the Largest packaged product number.

Dozens of actors, musicians, sports personalities and other distinguished guests donated their time on September 11th to honor the memories of those who lost their lives on 9/11 by raising more than $12 million for charities around the world. This special event, called Charity Day, is hosted each year by BGC Partners, Inc. On Saturday, March 2, MSC Cruises, the leading cruise line in Europe officially welcomed the latest addition to the Company’s modern fleet - MSC Bellissima. The Company’s new flagship was named in a glamourous and traditional maritime Naming Ceremony in the port of Southampton. A host of stars, VIPs, key travel partners and international media attended the event as well as top management from MSC Cruises and its parent company MSC Group. Gianluigi Aponte, MSC Group’s founder and executive chairman as well as the ship owner, attended together with the Aponte and Aponte-Vago families. MSC Cruises’ Godmother Sophia Loren officially named her 14th ship, which is fitting since the glamourous Hollywood legend is renowned for her style and elegance.

Douwe Geluk a well known Dutch master of the Chinese martial arts participated at the Golden Bridge martial arts tournament 2019 in Lelystad city in the Netherlands.
This event was hosted and organised by sifu Mark de Haan of the KFVN Kungfu Vereniging Nederland.
Douwe Geluk from Apeldoorn city particpated with Taijiquan, Tai Chi Chuan also known as Tai Ji and won two golden medals at this Dutch event.
