Pro-audio brand RØDE Microphones is excited to announce the ‘My RØDE Reel’ international short film competition, conceived to nurture emerging, independent filmmakers and give them the opportunity to share in more than US$70,000 in prizes.
Running from March until June, the aim of the ‘My RØDE Reel’ contest is to encourage filmmakers from all walks of life to get out in the field, creating films and continually improve their craft.

Next time you get the feeling that the floor is falling out from beneath your feet, it might just be an ESP Detection Floor that comes to your aid. Developed in the Netherlands, the ESP Detection Floor system uses electronic flooring underlay panels to monitor rooms by detecting human movement.
The panels detect if someone has fallen over and automatically notify an emergency control center.. Of course, when it comes to flooring, aesthetic design is just as important as functionality. We took the Attention Powered Car on the world's longest inattention road test and we discovered that on average our drivers lost attention at least once every minute.
The Attention Powered Car then headed back to the RAC Driving Centre where further tests were conducted to investigate initial findings from the road trip.
In this new webisode we explore the effects a passenger can have on a driver's attention levels and ways in which passengers might help drivers regain or keep attention behind the wheel.
