SuperShuttle celebrates 30 years of service this year and officially kicked off its summer-long 30 year anniversary promotion June 1. Mitch Rouse, the then owner of Yellow Cab, Los Angeles, founded SuperShuttle, the nation’s largest shared-ride airport shuttle service in 1983. Rouse got the idea when his brother-in-law ordered one of his cabs to pick up his family for a ski trip and the family couldn’t fit in a cab with all their equipment and SuperShuttle was born.

An island off Ireland’s south west coast is wowing audiences at screenings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Unveiled in the film’s closing minutes, this closely guarded secret ending to Episode 7 was filmed in September 2014 on Skellig Michael Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Since 1977, the record-breaking movie franchise has travelled through many galaxies, and this time, director JJ Abrams along with cast and crew jetted into a little village called Portmagee, County Kerry, on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. From here, they travelled eight miles (12 Km) by sea to a dream film location, Skellig Michael.

The Great Food Truck Race is back for a sixth season this August with a brand-new fleet of fierce competitors cooking and traveling across America’s most famous stretch of road, historic Route 66. In a return to the show’s roots, the seven teams are professional food truck operators from around the country who are known regionally for their culinary talents and selling skills – and they are ready to be recognized from coast to coast. The 2,500-mile, food-filled road battle kicks off in Santa Monica, California then hits Sedona, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico followed by tasty stops in Amarillo, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma and St. Louis, culminating with an epic finale in Chicago, where the winning truck is awarded a $50,000 cash prize. SCORE has launched the fifth annual American Small Business Championship – a national competition celebrating the best small business owners from across the nation, made possible with funding from Sam’s Club. The open call for applications kicks off today, and will reward two small businesses from every state and the District of Columbia with an all-expenses-paid trip to a training and networking workshop, national and local publicity, and mentoring from small business experts at SCORE.
From those 102 small business honorees, three Grand Champions will each win a grand prize of $15,000. A judging panel of small business experts will select the Grand Champions based on how effectively they utilize the initial prizes to grow their business operations or revenue.
