The Dallas Cowboys will kick off the 124th annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign when the Jones family makes this season’s first official kettle donation at halftime of the nationally televised Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game on FOX against the Philadelphia Eagles. For the past 18 years, the Dallas Cowboys have helped The Salvation Army kick off the campaign, which has raised more than $1.8 billion in that time.

Havana, the Cuban capital that is celebrating its 500th Anniversary, is getting ready to host once again the XXI Habanos Festival. The biggest international event of the world’s best tobacco, the Habano, will be held from 18 to 22 February. Enthusiasts of this unique product from all corners of the world will participate in a Festival that will see the San Cristóbal de La Habana, Hoyo de Monterrey and Trinidad brands taking centre stage.

A new crash test program from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety aims to ensure that manufacturers pay attention to the safety of front passengers as well as drivers.
The test was developed after it became clear that some manufacturers were giving short shrift to the right side of the vehicle when it comes to small overlap front crash protection. A good or acceptable passenger-side rating will be required to qualify for the Institute’s 2018 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award.
The first test group in the passenger-side small overlap front test program did better overall than vehicles IIHS previously evaluated for research. Ten out of 13 midsize cars tested earn a good rating, while one is acceptable and two earn a marginal rating.
In contrast with a group of 2014-16 model small SUVs tested for research, none of the 2017-18 midsize cars had a poor or marginal structural rating. Instead, the biggest problem in the new group was inconsistent airbag protection in five cars, which would put passengers’ heads at risk.

Slovenian company, DOO Petsdialog, in cooperation with the organizing committee of the ministry of tourism of Slovenia announced the international contest, Lord of the castle, with prize of 100 000 euros. The winner of the competition will also become the caretaker of the ancient castle on the lake Bled for one day. To win this prize you need to meet only two criteria: you should be at least 18 years old (or have the written consent from your parents) and have a dog.
