Clayton, one of America’s largest homebuilders, will celebrate its 60th anniversary at this year’s annual Berkshire Hathaway shareholders meeting in Omaha, where it will highlight the company’s history and impressive growth, as well as feature The Patriot home on display.
Clayton has grown to become a large homebuilder in the U.S manufactured housing industry, providing families with affordable, quality homes since Jim Clayton sold his first home in 1956. Over the last 60 years, the company has remained true to its core values, including “taking care of the communities we live in.”
Clayton is aiding Hope for the Warriors®, a nonprofit organization that provides services for wounded war veterans and their families. For every Patriot home sold, the company is donating $100 to Hope For The Warriors®. Through this donation program, the company has given tens of thousands of dollars to Hope for the Warriors®, and that number continues to grow.

Chocolate-lovers beware! Zombies in search of their next victim haunt Jean Philippe Pâtisserie at Bellagio and ARIA with Halloween-themed displays at both iconic pastry shop locations. From gory and gruesome body parts to whimsical cakes and pastries, the displays cater to every guest, no matter how they prefer to celebrate the holiday. Executive Pastry Chef Claude Escamilla and his talented team worked diligently for eight months to create more than 45 festive showpieces that place the undead at center stage. With a year of planning, countless sketches and hundreds of ideas from skilled pastry artists, the final display showcases their hard work through a cake closely resembling human flesh, tombstones straight out of a horror movie and many more hair-raising pieces.
“I was very much inspired by my favorite TV program, “The Walking Dead,” said Escamilla. “When I was watching the show, I kept thinking about how I could take the characters and turn them into life-size creations for the holiday.”

Al Maryah Island hosted Abu Dhabi’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration, a spectacular evening of music and fireworks. Thousands of families and friends filled the island’s waterfront Promenade where they enjoyed an electrifying concert with Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop sensation Mohamed Hamaki, and winner of Arab Idol 2015, Mohammed Assaf.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed hearing their favourite songs performed during the five-hour show, which culminated in an exhilarating midnight countdown, followed by a breath-taking firework display.
The evening was a landmark occasion in Al Maryah Island’s colourful events calendar and was staged through a partnership between Mubadala and Platinum Records, the leading record label company which operates under the umbrella of MBC Group.

Last night Sandvik Coromant, a global leading supplier of cutting edge tools, tooling solutions and know-how to the metalworking industry, lit up the Chicago skyline with insightful images designed to spread the word about the profound impact data and technology has on the manufacturing industry and people’s daily lives. The two students, who participated in STEM education “Dream It. Do It.” summer camps created by The Manufacturing Institute, literally helped ‘flip the switch’ on the light show and also each received a $1,000 check toward their future education.

The Swiss watch world is about to be joined by an exciting new addition with a venerable name. Czapek & Cie was re-established by three entrepreneurs with a passion for fine watches and outstanding mechanics.
