It was "standing room only" at Six Flags Great Adventure's premiere of the highly-anticipated, new, stand-up thrill coaster, GREEN LANTERN, based on the DC Comics' Super Hero. Standing 15 stories tall and reaching speeds of 63 mph, GREEN LANTERN ranks among the tallest and fastest roller coasters of its kind anywhere in the world.
Members of the media, roller coaster enthusiasts and families from Children's Miracle Network were on-hand for the launch of this epic thrill ride, which features more than three-quarters of a mile of twisting, green steel. GREEN LANTERN is open exclusively to season pass holders now through May 22 and opens to the general public May 25.

Six Flags Over Georgia prepares to take to the sky as the countdown begins for the launch of the park’s newest thrill ride, SkyScreamer. The park’s newest addition was previewed today by media and VIP guests. SkyScreamer opens to the public on Friday, May 24, 2013.
At 242 feet, SkyScreamer is 40 feet taller than the park’s mega-coaster Goliath, and will give passengers a thrilling view of the Atlanta skyline. Thirty- two riders will sit two across in open air swings while spinning to the top of the tower. At full swing, guests revolve in a 98-foot circle at speeds of 40 mph.

Coiled and ready to strike, Six Flags Fiesta Texas today unveils the most anticipated new coaster of the year, the Iron Rattler! The extreme, ultra-smooth coaster plummets guests down an 81 degree drop from a height of 180-feet, roars 70 miles per hour, snakes through four wild overbanked turns and then flips riders upside down on the first-ever zero-g barrel roll on a wooden hybrid coaster. The epic Iron Rattler opens for season pass holders on May 18 and 19, and then opens to the public on Saturday, May 25, 2013.

SkyScreamer, the newest sensation in swing rides, has taken flight at Six Flags St.Louis! Famed pilot Erik Lindbergh and Wings of Hope pilots took the inaugural first flight. Standing at 236-feet, SkyScreamer is the tallest ride in the park and the centerpiece of Six Flags St. Louis' 40th anniversary season.
Each of the double, open air swings provides a front row seat for the 32 guests that climb to the top of the SkyScreamer during each flight. Spinning round and round, with feet dangling, guests soar in a 98-ft. circle at speeds up to 43 mph. The massive "world" globe that sits atop the bright, multicolored SkyScreamer tower can be seen from miles away. Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) officially opens its new manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Tenn., for production of premium cooking products. The $200 million project includes a state-of-the-art production facility and distribution center and will be the largest premium cooking plant in the world. Whirlpool expects the project will add about 130 new jobs to its existing Cleveland workforce.
