The National Pork Board (NPB) has extended its integrated “El Sabor de Hoy”, or The Taste of Now, campaign in an effort to feature pork cuts that deliver great flavor and value, making it the ideal protein for Latino consumers in the U.S. The campaign will run from October, which is National Pork Month, through December, when pork is a staple during the holidays. To bring the campaign to life, NPB has once again teamed up with Puerto Rican-born and Miami-based Chef José Mendín. Mendín is a five-time James Beard Award nominee and restaurateur behind the Pubbelly Restaurant Group, including Pubbelly Noodle Bar, an Asian-inspired gastropub in Miami. Nespresso has revealed a humorous behind-the-scenes video showing new leading man Jack Black receiving guidance from the ever smooth George Clooney as they filmed the latest TV commercial entitled Epiphany. The advert explores the concept of ‘What Else?’, provoking viewers to consider the unique Nespresso qualities that are incomparable. ‘What Else?’ encapsulates all of the elements that create the ultimate coffee experience - everything from the unique approach to sustainable coffee, unparalleled coffee quality through to the unsurpassed coffee expertise, stylish boutiques, innovative services and more. Filmed in Lake Como, Italy, the advert shows George Clooney pouring himself a cup of Nespresso coffee. Just as the coffee is ready, it is taken by Jack Black who attempts to win a female’s affections by trying to use George’s infamous ‘What Else?’ phrase. Oblivious, Jack gets the phrase wrong and George steps in to educate him. Later, Jack experiences a moment of epiphany as the meaning of ‘What Else?’ dawns on him. Oura Health, the Finnish health technology company behind the Oura ring, has moved its total private funding to 12.5M€ after the closure of a round led by US-based Bold Capital Partners and Finland’s Tesi. In an effort to learn more about driver inattention, one of the biggest killers on WA roads, RAC created the world's first Attention Powered Car -- a car that goes when you're paying attention and slows when you're not. On the final leg of our road trip, we visited Narrogin in the Wheatbelt, which is also often dubbed by emergency services as the 'accident belt'. Here, single vehicle crashes with young drivers behind the wheel are particularly high, so we wanted to see if inattention was part of the problem. Our first driver, Shawn, took the Attention Powered Car and few mates around town. Not surprisingly, his mates proved to be a distraction, as well as thinking about his girlfriend and sadly, friends lost on the road. Next up was Speedway Driver Coby. She performed well on the open road, but had plenty inattention moments to match. Perhaps most telling though, was her insight into the minds of many drivers who even after being made aware of their limitations, aren't likely to change behaviour. What will it take for drivers to stop texting behind the wheel? Car-buying platform Edmunds.com believes that a gentle reminder from a loved one could do the trick. Developers of the award-winning Edmunds app recently broke from their usual work to produce “DrivePromise by Edmunds,” a free app that allows Apple Watch and iPhone owners to make and keep a promise to focus on the road while driving. When the device detects that it is in a moving vehicle, it pops up an uploaded photo of a loved one along with a reminder to drive safely. The app keeps count of all of the user’s safe drives to share with friends and family.
