Dinlere ve diğer doğaüstü kavramlara inanmasak da bizler her bireyin inanç özgürlüğüne saygı duyuyoruz. İnanç özgürlüğüne saygı duymamız onları dinlerinin/inançlarının gereklerinden alıkoyma gibi anti demokratik eylemleri kınadığımız ve bundan kaçındığımız anlamına geliyor. Ancak inanç özgürlüğüne saygı duymak, inançlara koşulsuz saygı göstermek demek değildir.
