The ninth (2014) China Jiuzhaigou International Ice Fall Tourism Festival recently took place. Throughout the winter, Jiuzhai Valley rolled out various tourism packages and special offers to Jiuzhai Valley’s visitors as well as staged a series of events.

Suning Commerce Group, a Fortune Global 500 company owned by Suning Holdings Group (“Suning” or “the Group”), has put its Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) warehouse into service in Fengxian District, Shanghai, boosting its capabilities in the field of smart logistics.
Equipped with 200 robots that carry selected items and move smoothly through stocking shelves, Suning’s AGV warehouse in Shanghai has been first used to meet the substantially increasing needs of logistics during the 11/11 Shopping Festival. The warehouse performs the task more efficiently by providing a “goods-to-people” solution instead of the traditional "people-to-goods" model. The facility is expected to be the largest automated warehousing system in China when put to full-scale operation with total 1,000 robots in 2018.

Construction is complete at A/D/O, a new 23,000 square-foot creative space, which opens to the public in Greenpoint, Brooklyn following the holiday season. At the core of A/D/O is its Design Academy, which aims to inspire pioneering work and be a forum for interdisciplinary debate. A/D/O will provide unique opportunities for professional development while inviting the broader public to explore design through a range of installations, exhibitions and events.
The Design Academy at A/D/O will offer an ambitious seasonal program geared towards design professionals, which stimulates relevant dialogue and new work through talks and workshops, special exhibitions and commissions and designer residencies. Its first program, entitled “Utopia vs. Dystopia: Designing Our Imagined Futures,” investigates the role design plays in a world of rapid change. Partnerships with design firms MOS Architects, OLIN, Stephen Burks Man Made and Turner-prize winning collective Assemble, as well as talks from Yves Behar and Alice Rawsthorn among others, are important components of this inaugural season, which will kick off with a three-day festival January 27-29, 2017.

2013 Shanghai Tourism Festival opened on the evening of September 14. The Opening Ceremony Grand Parade, a legacy of the festival, gathered 32 performing teams from 23 countries and 21 sleek floats, providing tourists with a spectacular visual display on Shanghai’s Huaihai Road. It was the first time that teams from Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania and the Bahamas participated in the parade. Over 80 percent of the performing teams came from outside China. The 2013 Shanghai Tourism Festival with the tagline “Tourism makes your life richer” included a wide variety of events with a focus on sightseeing, food tasting and leisure.

The second annual iHeartRadio Music Festival closed a triumphant weekend, September 21 and 22, after more than 10 hours of back-to-back diverse performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as a number of unprecedented collaborations by superstars across musical genres. Ryan Seacrest kicked off the festival Friday night at MGM Grand in Las Vegas with performances by artists No Doubt, Miranda Lambert, Bon Jovi, Jason Aldean, Lil Wayne, Swedish House Mafia, Usher, Green Day and Rihanna; the festivities continued Saturday evening with P!nk, Brad Paisley, Calvin Harris, Enrique Iglesias, Mary J.
