The View’s Elisabeth Hasselbeck hosted the ninth-annual More Magazine/Fitness Magazine Women’s Half-Marathon in Central Park on Sunday, April 15. More than 7,200 women participated in the race—the largest women’s-only half-marathon in the country—established by More and Fitness magazines, in partnership with New York Road Runners. Hasselbeck participated in the race for the second straight year, besting her 2011 time by more than four minutes and finishing in 1:40:05. She ran in support of Team NoGii to raise money for Celiac Disease research, as well as Team Red, White and Blue, to support America’s war veterans.

Undercover police officers, Magic Simpson and Chad Holland attend a blood member funeral who was killed in a gang driveby shooting at White Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas on Darien Street. They were hired as the funeral security and must protect the church from the crip gang. Drae and Charlie respond to a street fight in process between two gang members. A blood and crip. Jenny whose partner was killed in a shootout with car theft suspects save a three month year old baby after a truck was on fire. The mother has died and the baby was rushed to Texas children memorial hospital for medical treatment where he almost died from his injuries. The war between bloods and crips will never end. Zum Start der neuen Radsaison führt die Deutsche Verkehrswacht (DVW) die bundesweite Aktion „Ich trag´ Helm“ fort, mit der sie für das freiwillige Tragen von Fahrradhelmen wirbt. Um modebewusste Radfahrerinnen und Radfahrer für das Helmtragen zu begeistern, setzt die DVW aktuell die Akzente auf das Thema „Mode und Fahrradhelm“. Als prominenten Paten für die Aktion konnte die DVW den Modedesigner Guido Maria Kretschmer gewinnen. Er zeigte sich von der Idee begeistert, Fahrradhelme mit Mode-Outfits zu kombinieren und nahm die künstlerische Herausforderung an, dies mit seinen Models umzusetzen. Besonders medienwirksam für die Kampagne war das Engagement des Stardesigners auf seiner After-Show-Party während der Berliner „Fashion Week“. Dort trugen seine Models handelsübliche Fahrradhelme zur Abendgarderobe. Auf der Party wurde ein Video-Podcast produziert, der die Models und die Reaktion der Gäste, zum Beispiel von Jorge Gonzalez, zeigt.
Fahrsicherheitstraining, aber kein gewöhnliches. Die Teilnehmer sind nach einem Arbeitsunfall mobilitätseingeschränkt. Dennoch müssen sie nicht auf ihr Auto verzichten. Nach einigen Anpassungen können sie normal am Straßenverkehr teilnehmen. Die BG ETEM ist die gesetzliche Unfallversicherung für rund 3,8 Millionen Beschäftigte in etwa 200.000 Mitgliedsbetrieben. Ihre Aufgaben sind Arbeitssicherheit und Gesundheitsschutz sowie Rehabilitation und Entschädigung von Verletzten und Erkrankten bei Arbeitsunfällen und Berufskrankheiten.
