A rally racing success story from the Volkswagen team.
After victories at the Dakar Rally in 2009 and 2010, it has now presented its latest car in Trier. In Germany’s oldest town, state-of-the-art technology met historical surroundings in an impressive spectacle. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the 2000-year-old amphitheatre in Trier, Volkswagen presented the car that will defend the title at the 2011 Dakar Rally.

For generations, homeowners have clearly thought of windows when they heard the term glazing. Single, double and in the meantime also three or four times glazed windows - the properties of the glass however have changed dramatically. Noise and temperature insulation are features and also - if desired - opacity just by pressing a button. Now glass is increasingly becoming a facade, as a solar panel, as insulation or as a photovoltaic system. For Architects this development is really fantastic.

And, despite Germanys image of being a nation of motorists actually the most patents are filed in the medical field. It is therefore no wonder that German Chancellor Angela Merkel paid a visit to the world's largest medical trade fair MEDICA in Duesseldorf. Also present was the Minister of health Dr. Philipp Rösler, who prepared for the upcoming tasks at the Hospital day which runs parallel to the fair.

Not many people are really able to keep things under tight wraps. Certainly, many a jailbird might be able to or the occasional secret agent perhaps, but at the latest when it comes to grandpas and grandmas, best friends or any typical gossips, information leaks are everywhere. Even in Hillary Clinton’s administration, much to the enjoyment of Wikileaks. However, in Düsseldorf a branch of trade is currently presenting leak-free products, guaranteed for 50 years. If only everyone were able to do what the valves on display at the Valve World Expo are capable of.

The Nord Stream pipeline is one of Europe\'s largest energy projects. A total investment of 7.4 billion Euros underlines the importance of the project for the economic relations between Russia and Europe. The construction of the first line of the 2-line pipeline begun in spring of last year and the first gas will begin to flow this fall. Now the operators were able to announce the positive completion of the financing of the project at a press conference.
