China's leading automobile manufacturer GAC Motor has released the first concept car EnLight on November 18 at the 14th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition, marking a new milestone in the company’s continuous path of innovation.
EnLight is an unprecedented smart electric supercar that applies the latest cutting-edge technologies, most futuristic design concepts and natural driving experience. The slim bodied supercar with butterfly wing doors has both the autonomous and manual driving modes while achieving four-wheel independent drive with the in-wheel motors.

KitchenAid is expanding its popular line of black stainless major appliances to include a number of new built-in and freestanding ranges and refrigerators. Originally launched in 2015 as the industry’s first appliances with a black stainless steel finish, the collection will feature a total of 54 appliance models by the end of the summer, including refrigerators, wall ovens, ventilation hoods, dishwashers, under counter beverage centers and more. With the upcoming additions, KitchenAid will have one of the most complete offerings of black stainless appliances in the industry.
“The feedback we’ve received on our black stainless finish from consumers, the design community and even professional chefs when we first introduced it has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Beth Robinson, senior manager of brand experience for KitchenAid. “We’ve made it a top priority to expand our black stainless appliance portfolio to include even more options so that virtually any consumer can have a black stainless suite, regardless of their kitchen layout.”

Volvo Cars and Swedish artist & producer Avicii announce a creative cooperation to celebrate their Swedish roots with a new recording and music video, due for global release on May 8th. The collaboration will form the basis for a global brand campaign entitled ‘A New Beginning’.

In honor of the 40th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris this May, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars will release the 2013 vintage of its iconic S.L.V. Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with a commemorative label replicating the original 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon which took top honors among the red wines at the 1976 Paris Tasting.
Triumphing over two first-growth and other renowned wines of Bordeaux, the 1973 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon brought international recognition to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Napa Valley and the American wine industry as a whole. To mark the historic event, the commemorative 2013 S.L.V. Cabernet Sauvignon carries a small gold band saying “40th Anniversary Vintage,” and releases at the winery May 1, 2016.
“The surprise win in 1976 by Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars – and Chateau Montelena Winery with their Chardonnay – truly changed the course of history,” said Ted Baseler, President and CEO of Ste. Losing weight and being healthier are at the top of everyone’s New Year’s resolutions. But, despite the best intentions, work, kids, and social events often push lifestyle changes to the bottom of the list. While many are familiar with type 2 diabetes, fewer are aware of prediabetes, a serious health condition that affects 86 million Americans (more than 1 in 3) and often leads to type 2 diabetes. People with prediabetes have higher than normal blood glucose (sugar) levels, but not high enough yet to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
To raise awareness and help people with prediabetes know where they stand and how to prevent type 2 diabetes, the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the American Medical Association (AMA), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have partnered with the Ad Council to launch the first national public service advertising (PSA) campaign about prediabetes. The PSA campaign, featuring first-of-its-kind communications techniques, was developed pro bono by Ogilvy & Mather New York for the Ad Council.
Nearly 90 percent of people with prediabetes don’t know they have it and aren’t aware of the long-term risks to their health, including type 2 diabetes, heart attack, and stroke. Current trends suggest that, if not treated, 15 to 30 percent of people with prediabetes will develop type 2 diabetes within five years. The good news is that prediabetes often can be reversed through weight loss, diet changes and increased physical activity. Diagnosis is key: research shows that once people are aware of their condition, they are much more likely to make the necessary lifestyle changes.

Bu çok ağır bir top. Gerçek bir gülleden daha ağır çünkü dayanıklı kurşundan yapıldı. İnsan kafasından on kat daha ağır. Başlamak için en uygun yer her şeyin başlangıcına gitmek olacak. Evrenin kökeni hakkında bilmediğimiz çok şey var ve araştırmaya devam etmeliyiz. Fakat evrimsel yaşamın büyük resmi hiç şüpheye yer bırakmayacak şekilde ortaya çıkmıştır.
Dünya yaklaşık 4.5 milyar yaşında. Ve kısa bir süre sonra, ilk bir milyar yılda ilk canlı hücreler ortaya çıktı ve bunun ardından hepimiz türedik, tüm bitkiler, tüm hayvanlar, tüm insanlar...
Bu kanıtlanmış bir olgudur. Tüm canlılar hepimiz kuzeniz. Bilim insanları bunu, dünyanın düz değil, yuvarlak olması veya Dünya'nın diğer şekilde değil de Güneş'in etrafında dönmesi gibi kabul ederler. Buna inanmamak gülünç olur.
