Bizler Türkiyeli ateistler olarak dinlerin, insanların geçmiş zamanlardaki doğayı anlama ve anlamlandırma çabası olduğunu ve herhangi bir objektif kanıta dayanmayan bu doğaüstü iddialara şartlanmışlığın aşılması gerektiğini düşünüyoruz.
Dinlere ve diğer doğaüstü kavramlara inanmasak da bizler her bireyin inanç özgürlüğüne saygı duyuyoruz. İnanç özgürlüğüne saygı duymamız onları dinlerinin/inançlarının gereklerinden alıkoyma gibi anti demokratik eylemleri kınadığımız ve bundan kaçındığımız anlamına geliyor. Ancak inanç özgürlüğüne saygı duymak, inançlara koşulsuz saygı göstermek demek değildir. Bu ikisi çoğu kez inançlı insanlar tarafından karıştırılmakta ve "herkesin dinlere saygı duyma şartı" gibi ifade özgürlüğünü engelleyici yöntemlere başvurulmasına sebep olmaktadır.
Dinler birer felsefi düşüncedir ve bizler hiçbir düşünceye koşulsuz saygının dayatılmaması gerektiğine inanıyoruz. Bizler söylemlerimizle insanları değil, düşünceleri hedef alıyoruz çünkü düşüncelerin değil, insanların haklara sahip olduğuna inanıyoruz. Dolayısıyla hiç kimsenin "dini inancıma hakaret edildi, mağdurum" deme hakkının olmadığını düşünüyoruz. Eğer inandığınız şeylerin eleştirilmesinden ve doğru kabul ettiklerinizin sarsılmasından endişe ediyorsanız, ateist içerikli yazı ve medya unsurlarını takip etmeyiniz. Buna herkesin gücü yetmektedir, kimse kimseye zorla bir şey izletmiyor.

The National Limousine Association’s Ride Responsibly™ initiative (www.rideresponsibly.org) and Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment (PAVE) have joined forces to produce a public service campaign, starring actress, activist and sexual violence survivor Pamela Anderson. The PSA draws attention to the vast number of sexual assaults that have occurred in ride-hailing vehicles and questions if these were caused by insufficient background check procedures. This PSA serves as a call-to-action following alarming revelations of sexual harassment and assault that reach far beyond Hollywood and Washington, D.C.
The video, titled “The Signs”, is Pamela’s second PSA for the Ride Responsibly initiative, and comes on the heels of the #MeToo movement. The PSA is a stark reminder that even getting from point A to B carries risk, particularly if you are not conscientious of the service that you choose.

The American Dental Association (ADA) today released tips for keeping tooth decay at bay during the holiday season.
“Sweet treats are everywhere during the holidays, from your office party to baking cookies in your own kitchen,” said Alice G. Boghosian, D.D.S., ADA spokesperson. “The key is to practice moderation and make healthy choices when you can. And don’t forget to brush twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth every day!”
