On Charity Day, The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund – in conjunction with Cantor Fitzgerald and its affiliate BGC Partners – commemorates our 658 colleagues and 61 Eurobrokers employees who perished on September 11, 2001.
Started by the Fund’s President and Co-Founder Edie Lutnick and with the ongoing support of Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, Charity Day is our Firm’s way of turning a tragic day into one that is dedicated to helping others in our community.
The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund gives 100% of our global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world. Last year’s Charity Day raised approximately $12 million for hundreds of charities. Since its inception, Charity Day has raised approximately $125 million globally.

Last weekend, OUE hosted the official grand opening of OUE Skyspace LA. Guests flocked from near and far to be among the first to experience the public debut of California’s tallest open-air observation deck and Skyslide with a slew of celebratory events throughout the weekend.
On Friday, June 24, the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted local and international VIPs as OUE Skyspace LA opened its doors for the very first time. Speakers included Dr. Stephen Riady, Executive Chairman of OUE and Raymond Chan, Interim Deputy Mayor for Economic Development. Buckling precious cargo into a late-model vehicle has gotten a bit easier in the past year, the Institute’s LATCH ease-of-use ratings show.
IIHS launched its ratings of child seat installation hardware in vehicles in June 2015. Out of 102 vehicles rated at that time, the majority were poor or marginal. Today, a total of 170 current models have been evaluated, and most are good or acceptable. Three models — the Audi Q7, Lexus RX and Toyota Prius — earn the top rating of good+, a distinction that no vehicle achieved last year.
A properly installed, age-appropriate child restraint can protect a child much better in a crash than a safety belt alone. LATCH, which stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children, is intended to make it easier for caregivers to install child restraints properly. Child restraints installed with LATCH are more likely to be put in correctly than restraints installed using the vehicle safety belt, IIHS research has shown.
Even with LATCH, installation errors are common. The Institute’s ratings are based on key ease-of-use criteria that have been shown to minimize mistakes.

One era ends and another begins as Zlatan Ibrahimović says goodbye to Swedish national football team in new Volvo V90 film.
After fifteen years representing Sweden in the national football team, team captain Zlatan Ibrahimović thanked his large fan base and revealed that this was his last match in the yellow jersey. Volvo Cars’ new film captures this moment and Zlatan’s journey back to Sweden.
In the film, Zlatan and his family take an emotional road trip in the new Volvo V90, retracing the highs and lows of his career and ending back where it began in the tough Malmö neighbourhood of Rosengård.
“Making this film was of course emotional, but the time has come for me to hang up my shirt and hand over to the next generation. For me it is all about looking forward, not back. A new journey is starting – both for me and for Volvo.” said Zlatan Ibrahimović.
