At Knauf Insulation we have a track record
of rolling up our sleeves and helping local communities realise the
benefits of insulation. The Birdsville project below is one of our
proudest moments. In January this year, temperatures in
Birdsville, one of Australia's hottest and most isolated towns, reached
over 49 degrees. During winter however, the town can reach below 0
degrees at night. What better place to show Australia just how safe,
easy and effective using the right kind of insulation can be? To follow are a couple of videos about the people, the place and the journey we went through to insulate the town.

the introduction of a new place to play on the Coast. Country superstar Darius Rucker helped the resort usher in a new look and name as he played to a crowd of 17,000 as the inaugural headlining act for The Great Lawn, Harrah’s new waterfront entertainment space. Fireworks lit the night sky to kick-off the summer season and celebrate the completion of a months-long renovation to the resort, formerly known as The Grand Biloxi, which includes an upgraded, more open casino floor, new restaurants and enhanced pool experience.

Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 Quicken Loans Chevrolet, and three-time and reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart shocked hundreds of race fans this evening at NASCAR SpeedPark at the Concord Mills shopping center when they arrived to test their own skills at go-kart racing. What started as a fun night of free go-kart racing turned into the opportunity of a lifetime, as dozens of lucky fans had the opportunity to race around the track alongside Newman and Stewart, two of NASCAR’s most talented and popular drivers.

The largest candy-consumption night of the year is right around the corner. More than 80 percent of parents say their kids will participate in a Halloween celebration (2), and when asked about concerns related to Halloween, more than two-thirds of parents say they are worried about their children’s teeth, according to a recent Ad Council survey (1). However, three out of four parents report that their kids sometimes or frequently forget to brush their teeth on a daily basis. With cavities being a top concern, the Kids’ Healthy Mouths campaign is celebrating National Brush Day® on Sunday, November 1, the day after Halloween, to emphasize the importance of brushing for two minutes, twice a day, every day.
