2008 interview by me. Danny was an Artist and Musician who told me he moved to the Canberra region in the 1980's. He lived in Cooma when he was young. He is believed to be Canberra's highest-selling artist, selling hundreds of photocopies, drawings, paintings, and prints. He performed around Canberra with some names in the music business, including, he told me once, a member of The Eurogliders. He told me he also worked as a Cook once and had a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Art, Canberra. He said he was once lectured by Malcolm McLaren who was on a guest visit. He knew clergy at St. Christopher's and St. Paul's in the Manuka region. He was diganosed to be Mentally ill, but words to me told me that he was misdiagnosed. He took a plethora of medicative drugs leading up to the end of his life in 2008. I was told he died of a heart attack. He mentions Peter Garrett, Angus Young, Eminem, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, and Axl Rose in the interview. The subjects of Astral Projection and Paranormal Activity are also brought up. I tried to record an EVP at the flat we lived in in 2006 (in the same group of flats that this interview was taken in) and heard a voice say 'Sid' later that day before I went to bed. I then typed up things online connected to Sid Vicious afterwards that occured before, and aluded to the worst school shooting ever in the United States. Danny told me he was a fan of Kiss, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones, Slade, and Kate Bush. The date the interview was taken is a nominal one, but roughly right. A gallery in Daniel's name opened recently in Canberra and features the art of disadvantaged people.
P.S. I think the Rolling Stones song he's talking about is 'Slave'. I gave him the tape of the Stones' Tattoo You before he died. The lyrics are actually 'Don't wanna be your slave', which is I think what he mentioned to me in one conversation. In this interview he has probably recalled it as something else.
