With or without a working knowledge of cannabis, most dispensary consumers have a speaking acquaintance with the compounds THC and CBD. But scientists are flirting with lesser known kinfolk in the cannabinoid family, compounds which are for the most part non-psychoactive but have intriguing potential health benefits. One such cannabinoid is Cannabinol, known in the industry as CBN. CBN is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that is a breakdown product of the cannabis superstar tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the plant’s most abundant constituent best known for the plant’s psychoactive “high.” As the THC in cannabis buds ages, it transforms into cannabinol through a process known as oxidation. With America’s nursing shortage and the soaring aging population, the nation’s largest senior living provider has launched a student loan reimbursement program with the goal of attracting more nurses to work in assisted living. Brookdale’s initiative comes as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the country’s nurse shortfall will exceed one million by 2022. People 65 and above are expected to comprise 16 percent of America’s population in 2020 and nearly 20 percent in 2030, compared to 13 percent in 2010, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Brookdale operates more than 1,120 senior living communities in 47 states. At Brookdale assisted living communities, nurses are hired as health and wellness directors, overseeing clinical services at a community including setting standards, leading health and wellness programming, and managing care associates. “This is a different kind of path than hospital nursing and it is a very important one,” said Kim Estes, senior vice president of clinical services for Brookdale. “Rather than providing hands-on care, these nurses shape the overall quality and content of care their community’s seniors receive on a daily basis.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7722156-brookdale-student-loan-program-nurses/

Long before it's time for hospice care, many people with serious illness can benefit from palliative care but don’t realize it. Sometimes referred to as “comfort care,” palliative care is a specialized approach to the treatment of patients with a serious or life-threatening illness. Palliative care has helped Deadra Gladden get her life back through symptom management and support from Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, Marlton, N.J. In May of 2014 Deadra, age 28, was in the hospital, feeling hopeless and in excruciating pain due to lupus, a disease she has been battling for over half her young life. Deadra's doctors told her family it was time to call hospice. But after consulting with a nurse from Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, a palliative care team was brought in instead. There’s a dance that goes on between mothers and their newborns: the initiation of relationship and communication. However, current culturally driven health and child care practices are interrupting the dance and causing more harm than good. As a result, parents, especially first time parents, often require a great deal of education and support. Dr. Barbara Morrison (DrBarb) is a certified nurse midwife dedicated to advocating, educating and inspiring healthcare reform for newborns and their families. As the founder and CEO of DrBarbCNM, LLC (http://www.DrBarbCNM.com), DrBarb is among the leading advocates of Kangaroo Care, the method of holding a newborn or infant skin-to skin, chest-to-chest to strengthen the bond between parent and child and to encourage breastfeeding and mental, social and physical development. 1st question: How can you make oral s*x less painful in your jaw? The pain in your jaw when perform blowj*b could be caused by a TMJ disorder and you may need to seek professional help. Then you need to open up and elaborate the problem to your doctor. But of course, you don’t want to get in trouble by sucking your own doctor’s c*ck or even involve in a three-way situation by inviting in a medical staff, like a nurse perhaps. Also you might want to change the position on the way you blow your partner’s organ. You may also want to relax when you are actually doing it. 2nd question: Does size really matter? Yes. Size really matters. Some other things matter so much more than a few others out there. But what’s more important is that you should utilize what you have in a professional way. And you should always work things out to get them connected. You might also want to consider that not everybody fits anybody else.

In the lead-up to Lung Cancer Awareness Month this November, the ‘future face’ of women’s cancer is being revealed. While new data published last month by Cancer Research UK suggests the number of women dying from breast cancer in the UK is in decline – expected to drop almost 30 percent by 2030 – the number of women dying from lung cancer is on the increase. Liz Darlison, Macmillan Consultant Nurse Specialist, University Hospitals of Leicester, says, “While the statistics paint a frightening picture, there’s a great deal that can be done to help ensure women are diagnosed earlier, treated earlier and live longer. By raising awareness of the tell-tale signs – for example, a persistent cough that lasts longer than three weeks – there’s the potential to save thousands of lives every year.” To view Multimedia News Release, go to http://www.multivu.com/mnr/56634-lilly-uk-lung-cancer-awareness
