Learning science company McGraw-Hill Education today announced the launch of Redbird Language Arts & Writing, a new enhanced personalized learning program that helps students master language arts concepts and build strong foundational writing skills. The new program accomplishes this by combining innovative writing analysis technology, interactive practice and personalized learning. The supplemental curriculum, for grades 2-7 and at-risk secondary students, is available to U.S. schools nationwide.
Originally developed by Stanford University, Redbird’s adaptive learning technology provides a personalized learning experience for each student. Redbird Language Arts & Writing delivers immediate feedback and charts an optimized path through the program based on each individual student’s skillset and level of progress – while also empowering educators with real-time, data-driven insights about their students’ learning.

Texas Instruments (TI) today launched STEM Behind Cool Careers, a series of calculator activities and videos designed to introduce middle and high school students to unexpected science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers. For the second straight year, Accenture (NYSE: ACN) is collaborating with Code.org to support Hour of Code, a global educational movement that reaches tens of millions of students through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.
As part of Accenture’s commitment to inspire and expand the opportunities for students to learn coding and computer science skills, Accenture employees in more than 200 cities across 55 countries have pledged to complete more than 10,000 Hours of Code during Computer Science Education Week December 5-11. This includes more than 2,000 hours pledged by Accenture employees to lead local events or volunteer at schools in their communities by working with teachers and Code.org to help students learn the basics of coding through online tutorials that inspire students to continue learning.

Texas Instruments (TI) today announced the TI-Innovator™ Rover, the company’s first robotics solution for middle and high school students that makes learning STEM subjects a moving experience. Students can write programs on their TI graphing calculators that get Rover’s wheels turning and their minds learning in a fun, interactive and hands-on way.
Rover connects to the TI-Innovator Hub and either a TI-84 Plus CE or TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator that many students already have and drives interest and curiosity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects. Students without any exposure to coding or robotics can get started by writing a basic program to make Rover do things like draw, dance or even crash.

Lockheed Martin has launched Generation Beyond, a first of its kind, national educational program to bring the science of space into thousands of homes and classrooms across America. The Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program is designed to inspire the next generation of innovators, explorers, inventors and pioneers to pursue STEM careers.
“Our children — the elementary, middle and high school students of today — make up a generation that will change our universe forever. Crayola today launched its nationwide “COLORCYCLE” marker program, which transforms used markers directly into clean energy. The program is the latest innovation in the company’s continuing commitment to advance its sustainability efforts. The “COLORCYCLE” marker program will allow students to responsibly dispose of any type of used marker through an in-school collection process, keeping plastic out of landfills. Once the used markers are collected, a unique technology will convert the markers into usable fuel.
