Nicht viel besser schnitt mit vier Sternen der Dacia Sandero ab, während die ebenfalls gecrashten Renault Captur und der Chevrolet Trax jeweils mit fünf Sternen benotet wurden. Der Evalia erreichte nur bei der Wertung „Schutz von Kindern“ mit 81 Prozent ein gutes Ergebnis, während beim Schutz erwachsener Insassen und Fußgängerschutz lediglich 68 bzw. 67 Prozent erreicht wurden. Ganz schwach fiel mit 55 Prozent das Ergebnis bei den unterstützenden Sicherheitssystemen aus. Der Dacia-Sandero erreichte aber auch nur vier Sterne wobei er beim Kinder- (79%) als auch beim Erwachsenen-Schutz (80%) gute Werte bekam. Große Schwächen wurden jedoch beim Fußgängerschutz (57%) und den Sicherheitssystemen (55%) festgestellt.
Daimler AG, Ford Motor Company and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., have signed a unique three-way agreement to accelerate the commercialization of fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) technology.
The goal of the collaboration is to jointly develop a common fuel cell electric vehicle system while reducing investment costs associated with the engineering of the technology. Each company will invest equally towards the project. The strategy to maximize design commonality, leverage volume and derive efficiencies through economies of scale will help to launch the world’s first affordable, mass-market FCEVs as early as 2017.

Global NCAP, the umbrella body of consumer car safety testing bodies, welcomes the Indian Government’s initiative to launch a New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) but believes that this positive step should also be accompanied by action to apply the United Nation’s minimum crash tests standards.
India is now the fifth largest producer in the world of passenger cars but new independent crash tests show why the country should use internationally accepted safety standards. Crash tests of Nissan’s Datsun Go and Maruti-Suzuki’s Swift demonstrate a high risk of life-threatening injuries with both cars receiving zero-star safety rating for their adult occupant protection. These risks would be significantly reduced if the cars had to comply with the UN test regulation for frontal and side impact.

Nissan has created the world's biggest working Zorb, complete with a full-sized Note safely cushioned inside.
The giant inflatable ball, which measures six metres in diameter and more than 18 metres in circumference, was constructed to highlight Nissan's Safety Shield technology featured on the Nissan Note, its popular small family car.
