Now through November 8, 2013, the makers of Jif® Peanut Butter invite families to ignite their culinary creativity in the kitchen and create an original sandwich recipe for the 12th Annual Jif Most Creative Sandwich Contest™. A l’occasion de la cérémonie de remise des Bourses L’Oréal France-UNESCO, ces jeunes femmes (26 ans en moyenne) recevront ainsi une bourse de 15 000 euros pour les soutenir dans leurs travaux et leur carrière scientifique, domaine où les femmes sont encore sous-représentées.

Lynn Napoli Marynowski and her younger brother Frank Napoli are as close as a big sister and little brother can be. They are an extension of their tight-knit family. From being raised together (along with a brother), to working together—Lynn has worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for 25 years and Frank 17 years—and, to this day, still living nearby each other, their parents and brother in Chicago and surrounding suburbs, Lynn and Frank share a close sibling connection. Interim clinical results from Project IMPACT: Diabetes, announced today by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation, show statistically significant decreases in A1C or blood sugar levels, LDL cholesterol, systolic blood pressure and Body Mass Index (BMI), which are all recognized standards of diabetes care. Participating patients in 25 communities who experienced improved outcomes encompass almost every socioeconomic class, insurance status and ethnicity.

They released the results today to coincide with a new series of national public service advertisements and a redesigned website for their Feed the Pig financial literacy campaign.

More than 80,000 healthcare workers and their communities from across the country and around the world joined together in the Medline Pink Glove Dance for breast cancer online video competition. After a hard-fought dance battle, the online votes are in and Medline is pleased to name Geisinger Health System, Danville, Pa., as the winner. As a result, $25,000 will be donated to their charity of choice, the American Cancer Society, providing free transportation for treatment to central Pennsylvania breast cancer patients in need. Additionally, Medline and participating hospitals will donate another $1 million to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and various local breast cancer charities nationwide. More than $2.2 million has been donated through the campaign and Medline Foundation since 2005.
