Greetings from Johannesburg, South Africa. Join us as we catch up with two of the city’s rising young soccer stars, Nodia Mukari and Dylan Bufton. Both boys play for McDuling Motors, a Johannesburg based under thirteen side that is more commonly known as Robertsham Football Club. The team recently won the South African leg of the Volkswagen Junior Masters and as a result they will now be representing South Africa in the world finals, to be held in Madrid in May.
When the Football World Cup begins in South Africa in June 2010, many thousands of boys aged between ten and twelve will have already finished competing in their own World Cup. The Volkswagen Junior World Masters is a worldwide tournament series which is held in Brazil, Mexico, the USA, Russia, South Africa and Germany, amongst other countries. In May, the winning teams will compete in a final tournament at the famous Bernabe� Stadium in Madrid.
The Nord Stream pipeline across the Baltic Sea is one of Europe\'s largest energy projects. The total investment of 7.4 billion euro shows the importance of the project for the entire European economic system. At a press conference in London the shareholders now have reported a major success in the financing of the project.
In presence of Russia\'s President Dimitri Medvedev the official ceremony for the laying of the Nord Stream pipeline took place in the Russian town of Vyborg. Roughly two 1220 km pipelines will be laid on the bed of the Baltic Sea between the Russian town of Vyborg and the German town of Lubmin. More than 200.000 single pipes need to be welded together, each of the 12 m long pipes has a diameter of 1,4 m and weighs about 24 tons. With start of the heating season 2011 the first gas will flow through the pipeline.

Eine Erinnerungsperformance zur Reichspogromnacht initiierte der Münchner Künstler Wolfram Kastner. Zwei Männer in SA-Uniform (Heinz Huber, Georg Schramm) führten fünf Personen (Wolfram Kastner, Edgar Liegl, Brigitta Oberhauser, Hiltraud Pusch-Zilker, Peter Thalheim) mit dem Davidstern durch Münchens Innenstadt. Die Polizei sah in der Aktion eine unangemeldete Demonstration und nahm Kastner und seine sechs Kollegen fest. Vom Hinweis der Veranstalter, daß es sich um eine nicht genehmigungspflichtige Kunstaktion handele, ließen sich die Ordnungshüter nicht beeindrucken.
