Gogo, a leader of in–flight connectivity and a pioneer in wireless in–flight digital entertainment solutions, announced today that it has launched its next generation connectivity technology – ATG–4 – on three airlines: Delta Air Lines, US Airways and Virgin America. Natural disasters that have devastated the nation this year have reminded Americans about the importance of preparedness. That was the focus of the Ad Council and FEMA’s Ready campaign created pro bono by Chicago-based advertising agency Leo Burnett. The innovative campaign earned Leo Burnett the Ad Council’s top creative award of the year – the Gold Bell for Creative Excellence. Marc Pritchard, Global Branding Officer of The Proctor and Gamble Company and Ad Council Chairman of the Board, presented the award last night at the Ad Council’s 59th Annual Public Service Award Dinner. Silver and Bronze Bells were also awarded to Havas Worldwide New York and Grey New York for their work on the Unplanned Pregnancy Prevention and Stroke Awareness campaigns, respectively.

Global gold demand in Q3 2012 was 1,084.6 tonnes (t), down 11% from the record Q3 2011 figure of 1,223.5t. This dip in demand is in comparison with exceptional demand in Q3 last year. Gold demand remains resilient. Q3 2012 was above the five year quarterly average of 984.7t, according to the World Gold Council’s Gold Demand Trends Report.
In value terms gold demand was 14.0% lower year on year at $57.6bn and the average gold price of $1,652/oz was down 3% on the record average Q3 2011 price.
