Cantor Fitzgerald, a leading financial services firm, today announced that Cantor Fitzgerald, together with its affiliate BGC Partners, Inc., raised approximately $12 million for dozens of charities around the world, at the companies’ annual Charity Day on September 11, 2015. Each year, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners donate 100% of the global revenues generated on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, and to date has raised approximately $125 million globally since its inception.
“We will never forget all of our friends and colleagues who perished on 9/11. Charity Day represents our company’s fundamental commitment to helping others, and allows us to commemorate the events of that day. Giving back is our way of remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11, turning a day of tragedy into a positive and uplifting day for our employees and friends,” said Howard W. Charity Day is held in commemoration of the 658 Cantor employees and 61 Eurobrokers employees lost in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.

Neighbors across the country will soon have an exciting opportunity to help change their communities for the better through State Farm Neighborhood Assist®. This philanthropic program awards 40 causes a $25,000 grant. Anyone in the United States can submit a cause beginning March 9 through March 30. Ultimately, voters will decide which community improvement projects win big.
Returning for its fourth year, State Farm Neighborhood Assist asks individuals to identify causes that would help make their communities safer, stronger and better-educated. Up to 4,000 causes will be accepted. The State Farm Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will then narrow down the field, using a scoring rubric to identify the top 200 submissions. The public will have a chance to vote 10 times a day from May 14 through June 3 for their favorite causes from the list of finalists. The 40 causes that receive the most votes will win a $25,000 grant. The nominations and votes will be accepted exclusively through a free Facebook app.

The Dallas Cowboys will kick off the 124th annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign when the Jones family makes this season’s first official kettle donation at halftime of the nationally televised Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game on FOX against the Philadelphia Eagles. Even though the big holidays usually get the spotlight, there are many everyday moments big or small worth celebrating throughout the fall and winter months. This is why the National Pork Board (NPB) today launched the “Sabrosos Momentos” campaign aimed at celebrating those joyous every day, and sometimes humorous, moments of the season. To bring these moments to life, the NPB has partnered with three of the most recognizable social media celebrities and digital talents in the country today: LeJuan James, Los Pichy Boys and David Lopez.
The celebrity influencers will capture their own pork-centric “Sabrosos Momentos” with a comical and unique Latino twist.
