Designed for people who live for adventure and need a phone that can survive whatever it’s put through, the smartphone will be on show at Mobile World Congress 2018, Barcelona, 26th February to 1st March 2018.
At the heart of the Land Rover Explore is a powerful 4000mAh battery that gives two days of typical use, or a full day of activites, with constant GPS Navigation mapping activated on the 5” HD display. Battery life can also be doubled by adding the included Adventure Pack while on the go. Once added, it can replace the need for a separate GPS device with its GPS patch antenna that improves the reliability and accuracy of the GPS. Al Maryah Island hosted Abu Dhabi’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration, a spectacular evening of music and fireworks. Thousands of families and friends filled the island’s waterfront Promenade where they enjoyed an electrifying concert with Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi, Egyptian pop sensation Mohamed Hamaki, and winner of Arab Idol 2015, Mohammed Assaf.
More than 10,000 people enjoyed hearing their favourite songs performed during the five-hour show, which culminated in an exhilarating midnight countdown, followed by a breath-taking firework display.
The evening was a landmark occasion in Al Maryah Island’s colourful events calendar and was staged through a partnership between Mubadala and Platinum Records, the leading record label company which operates under the umbrella of MBC Group.

Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, has announced that it will introduce Skype for Business, Microsoft’s leading collaborative productivity app, to its new 90 Series cars. Volvo Cars is the first carmaker to launch such an in-car productivity tool.
“We’ve all been there. Sitting in the car trying to join a conference call. You either fumble with or drop your phone while trying to connect or you forget the long pin code to join. It’s not the best way to start an important call in the car. On top of all that your attention is not where it should be – on the road. With the addition of Skype for Business all that goes away,” said Anders Tylman-Mikiewicz Vice President Consumer Connectivity Services at Volvo Car Group.
Skype for Business is actively used by millions of people at work around the globe. In Volvo’s 90 Series cars people will be able to view their upcoming meetings and participant details, and join meetings with one click via the large centre display.

The highly anticipated Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino, the first in Las Vegas to offer an authentic Asian gaming, dining and lifestyle experience, is now open to the public. The property commemorated the milestone with a Grand Opening Celebration held on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The Swiss watch world is about to be joined by an exciting new addition with a venerable name. Czapek, a watch brand that achieved considerable success in the nineteenth century, has been revived and is launching with a distinctive timepiece and an innovative sharing strategy to attract watch lovers.
Czapek & Cie was re-established by three entrepreneurs with a passion for fine watches and outstanding mechanics. The original founder, François Czapek was a Czech-born, Polish watchmaker, who arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1832. In 1839 he founded Patek, Czapek & Cie with fellow pole Antoni Patek. For six years they produced exceptional watches.
At the end of their partnership, in 1845, he founded Czapek & Cie and became Purveyor to the French Emperor Napoleon the Third. At its height, the company had boutiques in Geneva, Warsaw and Paris, Place Vendôme.
“Czapek deserves to be revived, he was one of the great watchmakers of the nineteenth century, who brilliantly combined precision mechanics with extremely refined aesthetics”, says Xavier de Roquemaurel, spokesman for the team.
