The 2,500 Czech and Slovak airmen who fought with the British Royal Air Force to free Europe from Nazi tyranny were honoured today – nearly 70 years after the end of the war – by the unveiling of a striking memorial, the ‘Winged Lion’, at Klarov Park in central Prague.

Dinosaurs brought busy weekend traffic to a halt on Saturday but thankfully avoided causing a tyrannosaurus wreck. Both residents and tourists of Dubai were stunned to see a convoy of ferocious dinosaurs making their way to their new home in IMG Worlds of Adventure, the world’s largest indoor theme park.
Despite being escorted by Dubai police, one dinosaur was reported missing as the caravan roared through the city. A hunt to capture the fugitive dinosaur is on! Anyone spotting it is requested to report their sighting on social media using the hashtag #SpotTheDino.
The dinosaurs are a part of a collection of sixty-nine state-of-the-art animatronic creatures created by leading Japanese company Kokoro, which are now installed at IMG Worlds of Adventure, set to open early next year. IMG Worlds of Adventure is owned by IMG Theme Park L.L.C. and comprises four zones: MARVEL, Lost Valley-Dinosaur Adventure, Cartoon Network and IMG Boulevard. IMG Worlds of Adventure will also feature a 12 screen state-of–the-art Novo cinema with 3 VIP theaters and a giant IMAX screen.

This spoken word is about how some young boys are enticed into gang life due to the lack of choice. Their upbringing saw this as the only option. They didn't find acceptance in school or home but got respect from gang members. They felt like they were part of something bigger than themselves. I also try to depict how they don't really care about you and the only aim is making money. so when you do slip up or make a mistake they will turn on you. The final part is about regretting what you did and wanting to change. This is a 100% guarantee for all gang members. There will come a time where it is either love, family or moral/ ethical reasons to stop. one way or another all gang members realise that the life is not for them.
We as youth should not be swayed but the idea of money and acceptance. Gangsters are not role models they are humans that are in a very bad situation and need help themselves. It is not a life that should be glamorised.

The III Moscow International Forum for Innovative Development "Open Innovations" and the Open Innovations Expo in 2014 were organized by Russia in partnership with the People's Republic of China. For the millions who suffer from Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), a study published today in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) provides clinical evidence of safety and effectiveness for a new, FDA-approved medical device. Torax Medical’s LINX® Reflux Management System was studied in a controlled, prospective, multicenter trial involving 14 U.S. and European medical centers as part of the FDA pre-market approval process. The patients were evaluated before and after treatment to determine the effect of the LINX System on their GERD using pre-defined success criteria, which included reduction of esophageal acid, improvement in quality of life and elimination of reflux medications.

Researchers presenting at ASTRO 2015, the premier radiation oncology scientific event in the world, unveiled new data this week that could fundamentally change the way that early stage breast cancer is treated.
Results from a landmark prospective, randomized, multicenter phase III study conducted in Europe demonstrated that APBI brachytherapy leads to equivalent overall survival and local cancer control rates as compared to WBI after breast conserving surgery for selected patients with early stage breast cancers. These data were presented during the ASTRO official press conference and published in The Lancet, a leading high-impact global peer-reviewed medical journal.
“We have been confidently offering APBI brachytherapy to selected women for years based on numerous phase II, single site and large registry studies that have confirmed the clinical utility of site-specific radiation delivered in a condensed timeframe,” said Frank A. Vicini, M.D., radiation oncologist, 21st Century Oncology, Royal Oak, Mich. and contributing author to the 2009 and 2013 ASTRO and ABS APBI guidelines. “The results from this landmark, multicenter, prospective randomized clinical study are the first to offer the critical level one evidence necessary to drive the fundamental changes in breast conserving cancer treatment that patients and healthcare professionals have been demanding for years.”

Farmers in Ivory Coast struggle with a mango harvest season that is as short as the fruit is sweet.
“For a 4-6 week period in April and May, the country is flooded with good mangos, but it ends abruptly when the rainy season starts. From then on, the mango just starts decaying,” explains Mathew Shed, container manager in the specialist shipping company Africa Express Line (AEL).
“We were approached in April by Eolis, a CF logistics company, who asked for some kind of smart solution that would keep the fruit delicious and marketable for a longer time,” he adds.
The solution turned out to be special reefer containers. With quick help from a container leasing company and a container depot in Antwerp, Belgium, Star Cool containers were upgraded to work with controlled atmosphere, in short known as CA, and sent to Ivory Coast.

The Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund (“Relief Fund”) today announced that it worked with Houston-area school officials to donate prepaid $1,000 American Express® cash cards to the 5,000 families most severely affected by Hurricane Harvey, distributing total of approximately $5 million.
The donation is made possible by the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund as well as by a grant from the firms and partners of Cantor Fitzgerald, Newmark Knight Frank and BGC Partners. With a combined presence of more than 500 employees throughout Texas, the combined companies have 180 employees who volunteered to effectively distribute direct financial aid to deserving families at Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center on Sunday, February 11 and Monday, February 12.
To make this event a reality, the Relief Fund worked with the office of Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, along with officials and administrators from 15 Houston-area school districts, covering 200 schools, whose efforts were critical to identifying the 5,000 of the most affected families. In addition to Mayor Turner, Sheila Jackson Lee, U.S. Representative for Texas's 18th congressional district, participated in the event, along with many other local officials and notables.

Tyrelle Davis and Faith Fennidy, both 11-years old, made headlines when they were sent home from school because of their hair extensions. Eleven-year-old Jorja Orrick was bullied for having short hair, which prompted her sister Sarah to cut her own locks in solidarity. With real stories like these and a history of helping young girls build self-esteem, Dove was inspired to join forces with Kelly Rowland to write and produce an original song titled, “Crown” — a power anthem that aims to break down the narrow definition of beautiful hair and encourage girls to feel confident in wearing it how they choose. The resounding call: “Wear it proud. #MyHairMyCrown.”
