Cantor Fitzgerald, a leading financial services firm, today announced that Cantor Fitzgerald, together with its affiliate BGC Partners, Inc., raised approximately $12 million for dozens of charities around the world, at the companies’ annual Charity Day on September 11, 2015. Each year, Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners donate 100% of the global revenues generated on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, and to date has raised approximately $125 million globally since its inception.
“We will never forget all of our friends and colleagues who perished on 9/11. Charity Day represents our company’s fundamental commitment to helping others, and allows us to commemorate the events of that day. Giving back is our way of remembering those who lost their lives on 9/11, turning a day of tragedy into a positive and uplifting day for our employees and friends,” said Howard W. Lutnick, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P. and BGC Partners.
Charity Day is held in commemoration of the 658 Cantor employees and 61 Eurobrokers employees lost in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.

Annem beni bu kadınlara teslîm etti. Bunlar da benim kılığımı, kıyâfetimi düzlediler ve Resûlullah`a teslîm ettiler. Beni hiçbir şey sıkmadı. Daisy is an accelerant detection canine and along with her partner, John Peters, work for the Westchester County Police Department in New York. Both were trained through the State Farm Arson Dog Program to locate trace amounts of ignitable liquids such as gasoline or kerosene that may have been used to start a fire. Society for Science & the Public (Society) today announced that Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: REGN) is the new title sponsor of the Science Talent Search. Selected through a competitive process that garnered interest from the nation’s leading companies and philanthropists, Regeneron will become only the third sponsor in 75 years of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious high school science competition.
The new sponsorship will be celebrated at a special event today at the American Museum of Natural History, which is known for its extensive science education program. Last night (Wednesday, Dec. 6), the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) debuted the first and only destination virtual reality art program, Vegas: Alter Your Reality (VAYR). The event took place at Wynwood’s Zadok Gallery during Miami Art Week with The Venetian Las Vegas. Powered by Samsung Gear VR, the VAYR installation will be free and open to the public, Dec. 7 - 9 from 1 - 9 p.m. daily.
“Capturing Las Vegas in photos and videos never tells the whole story, which is why we created the first-ever destination VR art program,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing at the LVCVA. “By debuting at Miami Art Week, we are able to showcase creative technology to remind visitors of the adventures and experiences that await them in Las Vegas.”
An innovative marketing concept that unites virtual reality and technology with art and travel, VAYR showcases Las Vegas in a unique and artistic way by featuring the work of five international artists including: Adhemas Batista, Brazil; Beeple, U.S.; FAFI, France; INSA, U.K.; and Signalnoise, Canada.

Neighbors across the country will soon have an exciting opportunity to help change their communities for the better through State Farm Neighborhood Assist®. This philanthropic program awards 40 causes a $25,000 grant. Anyone in the United States can submit a cause beginning March 9 through March 30. Ultimately, voters will decide which community improvement projects win big.
Returning for its fourth year, State Farm Neighborhood Assist asks individuals to identify causes that would help make their communities safer, stronger and better-educated. Up to 4,000 causes will be accepted. The State Farm Youth Advisory Board (YAB) will then narrow down the field, using a scoring rubric to identify the top 200 submissions. The public will have a chance to vote 10 times a day from May 14 through June 3 for their favorite causes from the list of finalists. The 40 causes that receive the most votes will win a $25,000 grant. The nominations and votes will be accepted exclusively through a free Facebook app.
