Finding time to eat well doesn’t mean you have to resort to eating out or going through the drive through during this busy fall season. New data analysis, supported in part by by Nestlé USA, indicates that people who reported dining on frozen meals ate fewer calories per day and consumed less saturated fat than those who reported eating fast food meals, also known as quick service restaurant (QSR) meals.1 The findings also showed that those who reported eating frozen meals consumed more essential nutrients than those who reported opting for fast food meals. The findings are based on a new analysis of data from the 2003-2010 What We Eat In America (WWEIA) National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), a program of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). For the busy, urban pet owner, it can sometimes be difficult to provide the structure, time and care pets need to thrive. Since city-dwelling pet owners face different challenges than their suburban counterparts, PetSafe® brand has compiled a line of products that cater to downtown dogs, cats and their owners. The line includes products designed to help urban pet owners automatically feed their pet on time, create safe zones in small living areas, improve morning walks and please neighbors with less barking. “Pets bring so much joy to our lives, but caring for a pet while living in a smaller, urban space can be somewhat tricky, especially if you’re lacking some of the amenities that are more common among suburban living,” said Willie Wallace, CEO of Radio Systems® Corporation, makers of PetSafe branded product. “With so many products available on the market today, it’s difficult to determine which best suit your lifestyle and needs. Our goal is to simplify the pet ownership process by compiling a go-to resource of the top products for downtown living.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7827753-petsafe-urban-pet-owners/

“I want my baby back, baby back, baby back, I want by baby back, baby back, baby back…Chiliii’s baby back ribs….” Yes, the jingle is back, but now it’s bigger than ribs to reflect Chili’s® Grill & Bar new “less is more” menu that focuses on core menu items that first made the brand famous – Bigger Big Mouth Burgers, Bigger Baby Back Ribs and Full-On Fajitas. The iconic jingle, introduced to the world 31 years ago and awarded the number-one song “Most Likely to Get Stuck in Your Head” by Ad Age in 2004, has been turned upside down to let people know that ‘Chili’s Is Back, Baby’ and focused on one thing only – quality burgers, ribs and fajitas. “We admit that as a brand, we lost our way a bit and needed to take a step back to successfully move forward, which for us, included going back to our roots and revisiting our iconic jingle that was once on everyone’s lips,” said Steve Provost, chief marketing and innovation officer of Chili’s. “But we didn’t just want to revive the original jingle, we wanted to break out of the casual dining ‘sea-of-sameness’ rut and let our Guests know that Chili’s Is Back, Baby and better at what we’ve always done best – serving quality burgers, ribs and fajitas, washed down with a cold margarita.” To view the multimedia release go to: https://www.multivu.com/players/English/8187851-chilis-is-back-baby/

WTF or WHAT THE FLUSH! The makers of the Stealth® ultra-high efficiency toilet and Bravo’s “Flipping Out” Star Jenni Pulos want to see more people saving both water and precious dollars when they flush. On average, 27 percent of water consumption in the home comes from flushing it right down the toilet, which is completely avoidable – that’s not even mentioning the water lost by old or deteriorated flappers that leak. Niagara Conservation Corp. created the Stealth Toilet which uses less than one gallon of water per flush (0.8 gallons per flush to be exact) relative to the average toilet that uses 3.5 to 5 gallons per flush. “As a California resident, I feel the gravity and importance of water conservation. That’s why I’m asking America to stop this invisible drain on our planet,” said Pulos. “With the Stealth Toilet we can do our part to save water and money with every flush. So join the cause for water conservation and say it with me – #WhatTheFlush!" To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7789051-niagara-conservation-whattheflush/

Snap those selfies, head to the mountains, and don’t break the bank. Those are just three insights into how deeper vacation memories are formed from a first-of-its-kind study released today by the world leader in vacation rentals, HomeAway®. The unprecedented examination of more than 700 summer vacationers found that those who take photographs and selfies remember their vacations 40 percent better than their less snap-happy counterparts. That said, there are limits: Those who spent more than two hours using phones and other devices were 26 percent less likely to remember vacation details. Perhaps most surprisingly, the study revealed that the amount of money spent on a vacation has no effect on its memorability, among numerous other actionable findings. Georgia Power today marked another year of safe construction and significant milestones at the Vogtle nuclear expansion site. The new units are currently scheduled to go into service in June 2019 (Unit 3) and June 2020 (Unit 4) and the remaining projected customer rate impact is approximately 2.5 percent, an average of less than 1 percent per year through completion. In addition, the company’s recent completion of the settlement process between the project co-owners (Georgia Power, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia and Dalton Utilities) and the project’s contractors (Westinghouse and CB&I) settles all claims previously in litigation with the contractors, reaffirms the current in-service dates, adds additional contractual protections and positions Westinghouse and its affiliates as the primary contractor over the project.
