Sharpie, a sponsor of the first leg of the 1D tour, invited a select group of teens to offer up a giant-sized hello to the global music superstars. Fans packed an event in midtown Manhattan to deliver a one-of-a-kind hello to Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn They created posters, signed welcome walls, and offered video-captured hellos to be delivered to the boys later in a fan video mash-up.
