Texas Instruments (TI) today announced the TI-Innovator™ Rover, the company’s first robotics solution for middle and high school students that makes learning STEM subjects a moving experience. Students can write programs on their TI graphing calculators that get Rover’s wheels turning and their minds learning in a fun, interactive and hands-on way. Rover connects to the TI-Innovator Hub and either a TI-84 Plus CE or TI-Nspire™ CX graphing calculator that many students already have and drives interest and curiosity in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) subjects. Students without any exposure to coding or robotics can get started by writing a basic program to make Rover do things like draw, dance or even crash. Americans love their sports, but not all sports get the love and attention they deserve. That’s why USA Curling and Cheetos, one of the flagship brands from PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay division and makers of new, limited-edition Cheetos Winter White Cheddar Curls, are teaming up to dance - and curl - their way into America’s hearts. Cheetos tapped musical sensation Todrick Hall and pro football friends Vernon Davis and LaDainian Tomlinson to create a new dance move, “The Curl.” The dance is designed to win support for the unsung heroes of the sheet (that’s the ice for curling newbies) leading up to USA Curling’s big competition this February. The music video, “Teach Me How to Curl,” is available now on Todrick’s and Cheetos’ social channels. No bucket list is complete without spending a St Patrick’s Day in Ireland. Our patron saint left a legacy that stretches from one end of the island to the other. The ‘Home of St Patrick’ festival in Northern Ireland is set around Downpatrick and Armagh where St Patrick lived and where he is buried. This 10 day festival will celebrate the achievements of Patrick, the man, with a spectacular themed program across the region. The single biggest event on the island is the St Patrick’s Festival in Dublin. It is truly one of the great spectacles of the world — a week-long celebration of music, dance and outdoor shows culminating in the stunning St. Patrick’s Day parade through the historic streets of Dublin on March 17th.
