Epson America, Inc. today introduced the FastFoto™ FF-640 high-speed photo scanning system poised to change the way people preserve and share the billions of photos tucked away in attics, basements, garages, and closets. An innovative alternative to flatbed scanners and costly third-party scan services, FastFoto can scan photos as fast as one photo per second and easily restores faded photos to their original color to share with family and friends via the cloud and on social media, like Facebook® and Instagram™. “Whether it’s for a Throwback Thursday, a photo slideshow for graduation, a wedding, or another life event, before today, digitizing photographs with a flatbed scanner or scanning service has been a time consuming and expensive task,” said Larry Trevarthen, director, Commercial Printing and Scanning, Epson America, Inc. “Scanning shoeboxes of photos on a flatbed scanner can take hundreds of hours, and sending photos out to a scanning service is pricey and puts irreplaceable photos at risk of being lost or damaged. FastFoto offers a fast, easy and affordable solution for preserving a family’s legacy.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7820753-epson-fastfoto-worlds-fastest-photo-scanner/

Last night Sandvik Coromant, a global leading supplier of cutting edge tools, tooling solutions and know-how to the metalworking industry, lit up the Chicago skyline with insightful images designed to spread the word about the profound impact data and technology has on the manufacturing industry and people’s daily lives. The display also included inspirational images depicting the future of digital manufacturing created by Samuel and Erika Flickinger, a brother and sister from Decatur, IL. The two students, who participated in STEM education “Dream It. Do It.” summer camps created by The Manufacturing Institute, literally helped ‘flip the switch’ on the light show and also each received a $1,000 check toward their future education. “Our goal with this light show was to raise awareness about the amazing opportunities that the use of data is driving in the manufacturing industry and honor two very creative students,” said Sean Holt, President Sandvik Coromant Americas. “We are proud to help raise awareness about the present and future opportunities of digital manufacturing, including the skilled and high paying career options for future generations.” To view the multimedia release go to: http://www.multivu.com/players/English/7833454-sandvik-coromant-manufacturing-technology-show/

Today, disruptive underwear brand, Tommy John, launched an integrated campaign demonstrating the issues men face every day with traditional ill-fitting undershirts. The campaign includes “Undershirt Undoing,” a 60-second film, along with TV, radio, digital, print, and outdoor advertisements. Continuing their “No Adjustment Needed” brand story, this is Tommy John’s second campaign produced by creative agency, Preacher. The film shines a light on Tommy John’s innovative patented undershirt as the ultimate solution to the frustrations men face with their undershirt. These frustrations include bunching, stretching out, yellowing, and coming untucked. “For too long men have been resigned to living in discomfort with their undershirts and allowing it to negatively impact them everyday." Says Josh Dean, CMO at Tommy John. "No other brand was speaking to this uncomfortable truth, nor offering an answer. We saw an opportunity to take ownership of the problem and to showcase our patented undershirt as the ultimate solution. In typical Tommy John fashion, we took to raising awareness about a frustrating issue in a humorous yet relatable way." Where might be the perfect place to introduce Tecnu Bites & Stings, an aptly named new over-the-counter product for stings and insect bites? How about the Great Texas Mosquito Festival in Clute, Texas? For 36 years, thousands of people have gathered at the yearly celebration along the gulf coast of Texas; a place known for thirsty mosquitoes, biting ants and other persnickety pests. To the group at Tec Labs it sounded like the perfect place to get credible feedback on their innovative new product. So they hired a professional camera crew, grabbed some cases of Tecnu Bites & Stings and left the humidity-free confines of Oregon and headed to the land of cowgirls and Texas tea. As the camera rolled, the video crew got some wonderful feedback from a great mix of people. The goal was to get honest and straightforward reactions and that’s exactly what occurred. Texans love straight talk and Tec Labs was thrilled to get the feedback. See the authentic reactions for yourself by watching the video!
