More than 173,000 women in the United States are living with metastatic breast cancer and each has a story to tell. AstraZeneca is launching a nationwide photo-sharing campaign to provide them another way to share their inspiration, experiences and strengths with others. To show their support, women living with metastatic breast cancer can upload photos of themselves on social media using the campaign hashtag #MBCStrength. Photos posted on Twitter by October 1, 2014 and tagged with #MBCStrength will be considered for a Times Square display in New York City on the fifth anniversary of Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day on October 13, 2014. On World Mental Health Day, Janssen has announced the results of a pan-European research project: ‘Talking About Treatment in Schizophrenia: A Patient and Carer Survey’. The survey of 166 adults living with schizophrenia and 468 carers was conducted by the independent market research agency, Fieldwork International (part of Ipsos MORI), and explored awareness, feelings and preferences regarding treatment. The survey, conducted across 12 countries in Europe (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK), highlighted key factors affecting the peace of mind for carers, such as the impact of the condition on day‑to-day life, potential relapse/hospitalisation and getting support beyond medication. 94% stated they reminded the person they care for to take their medication and for 49% this happens often. Florida residents previewed Honey Nut Cheerios' one-of-a-kind living billboard, just outside of Orlando, to celebrate the classic cereal’s key ingredient –real honey. Much more than just a billboard installation, the three-story free-standing structure was home to more than 100,000 honeybees. The honey produced from the working hives was used to spell out “Made with Real Honey” on the exterior of the installation. The local Florida honey was used to produce a limited number of exclusive boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios. Constructed in the farm fields at Diamond P Farm and Ranch, the honey-bees used in the creation of the billboard were supplied in partnership with Brent Dickson and his family, who are local Orlando bee-keepers. True to standards, most of the beekeepers who make the honey for Honey Nut Cheerios run family businesses and depend on their bees to make a living. “Honey is more than just an ingredient – it’s the flavor at the heart of Honey Nut Cheerios.
