When searching the pharmacy shelves, people looking for help to support healthy good cholesterol with a dietary supplement niacin may inaccurately associate the ingredient nicotinic acid with smoking cessation because it sounds like nicotine, warns leading cardiologist, Dr. Carl Lavie, Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Prevention at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, New Orleans, LA. In fact, nicotinic acid is the only form of dietary supplement niacin that is clinically proven to support good cholesterol, also known as high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, or HDL.

http://debbiewilliamsassociates.co.uk/ditch_the_dairy.htm Chrones disease and ulcerated colitis. My mother suffered for over 35 plus years with this and had a colostomy bag as well after a spell in hospital in an unrelated illness she was in a coma for 9 days and when she came home through dietary changes she stopped suffering. Debbie changed her diet getting all dairy products out from cheese to pizza to cream cakes and milk . This stopped the pain as you will see in the video her mothers response when given some custard in the hospital how the pain came on very suddenly. Debbie herself steers clear of dairy as it seems to cause her to feel blocked up and other unpleasant side effects. Many people are lactose intolerant without realizing it and suffer low level discomfort from irritable bowel to cramping pains not knowing that dairy products may be causing this.Creating a meal plan for a couple of weeks and then gradually adding in one dairy based food at a time will let you know whether its a problem for you or not. Debbie's mother was able to have the occasional cream cake once a week and her body could handle it but after 6 years of following eating foods that Debbie prepared she started buying lots of junk food and eating out more often with cream cakes everyday the downfall was dramatic and despite Debbie trying to stop her this time as she had a new baby to contend with Olive went downhill fast and was dead within 6 months. There is a saying we are digging our graves with out teeth, the link above takes you to a hypnosis product ditch the dairy if you feel you are addicted to dairy foods and need help to get them out to test if this will help you. New research published in the September issue of the British Journal of Nutrition and featured in the just released Global Phytonutrient Report highlights a significant shortfall in fruit and vegetable consumption in people’s diets around the world. Commissioned by the Nutrilite Health Institute of Amway, the research finds the majority of adults worldwide would have to at least double their current consumption of fruits and vegetables to meet the World Health Organization’s minimum recommendation of five servings (400 grams) per day. Additionally, the vast majority of adults worldwide – 60 to 87 percent across 13 geographic diet regions – are falling short of this recommendation and missing out on crucial nutrition and health benefits.

Researchers at global public health organization NSF International, Harvard Medical School, the United States Department of Defense and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment in the Netherlands (RIVM) recently identified four unapproved, DMAA-like stimulants in six over-the-counter weight-loss and pre-workout products currently available online. The research was published in the peer-reviewed journal Clinical Toxicology.
The potentially harmful compounds – including banned stimulants 1,3-DMAA and 1,3-DMBA as well as octodrine and a newly identified DMAA analog – were not listed as ingredients in the products and may have been disguised as “2-aminoisoheptane” or extract of Aconitum kusnezoffii. These stimulants may cause adverse cardiac events, hemorrhagic strokes or sudden death, especially if taken prior to strenuous exercise or combined with caffeine. Extreme heat and dehydration may also increase the health risks.

A new survey from the Gout & Uric Acid Education Society (GUAES) finds many Americans with gout may be placing too much emphasis on diet when it comes to managing the disease and controlling painful flares. Of all the steps taken to manage gout, respondents cited changing their diet by eliminating or reducing consumption of certain foods as their top step taken (50 percent)—even ahead of taking medications to lower their uric acid levels (40 percent) and maintaining an overall healthy fitness level (33 percent). Furthermore, nearly one in three with gout incorrectly believes that the disease can be completely avoided by eliminating certain foods; and more than one in four said they would not take medications if they were making dietary changes.
“Physicians all too often see patients who believe they can successfully manage their gout with diet alone,” said N. Lawrence Edwards, M.D., a rheumatologist and GUAES chairman. “But even with extremely rigid diet restrictions, most gout patients will only be able to lower their uric acid levels slightly—not nearly enough to achieve a healthy level to control flares and reduce risk for long-term damage.”
