As part of its new brand campaign, Share A Legend, New Holland Brewing Company is tapping into its heritage and success as the top craft Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout to unveil a nationwide storytelling contest. Until recently, cancer patients looking for the most precise form of proton radiation therapy – “pencil-beam scanning” – had to narrow their search to about a half dozen centers in the United States that offer this treatment on a limited basis.
Today’s opening of the Scripps Proton Therapy Center in San Diego, Calif., marks the first time that a proton center in the United States is treating patients exclusively with this ultra-accurate technology, in every treatment room.

It’s not the first question a parent asks. It’s likely not the fourth or fifth. But for parents like Brian and Diane Vollmert, the question of how to pay for their son, Scott, to receive the best care while providing for their family became an unmanageable challenge.
“From the very beginning, Scott didn’t fit cleanly in any category. He wasn’t clearly autistic. He wasn’t clearly developmentally delayed. He had characteristics of both,” said Diane. That combination of Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental delay can add up to more than $2.4 million in care over Scott’s lifetime, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association’s Pediatrics last year. A symbolic first stone has just been placed for the new Aircelle (Safran) facility in Hamburg, Germany, which will assemble and deliver nacelles on Airbus A320neo jetliners equipped with CFM International LEAP-1A jet engines.
Located at Hamburg Hausbruch, this 8,000-square-meter installation – situated on a 20,000-square-meter site – will handle the final steps in Aircelle’s full industrial responsibility for the A320neo nacelles: integration on the engine, followed by delivery to Airbus’ A320 assembly lines in Hamburg.
