In a recent article on yahoo.com front page, it talked about a study that indicated using nutritional supplement could be dangerous to your health. When reading these types of studies, I always like to see who puts out the study and who sponsored it. The medical industry always sponsors studies that point to a detrimental effect, when using nutritional supplements. It seems to me that the medical industry is quite happy to keep you sick so that you can provide them with a continual doctor and hospital visits and purchase drugs.

November is National Family Caregivers Month and AARP is launching a national campaign to bring awareness to the important role that family caregivers play in the lives of their loved ones. The operating room (OR) needs better supply chain management systems and analytics to help reduce costs and support patient safety, according to a new Cardinal Health survey of surgical staff and hospital supply chain decision-makers.
Nearly half (40 percent) of respondents revealed they’ve actually canceled a case, and more than two-thirds (69 percent) have delayed a case because of missing supplies. Furthermore, 27 percent have seen or heard of an expired product being used on a patient, and 23 percent have seen or heard of a patient harmed due to a lack of supplies.
