For the third consecutive season, John Frieda® Hair Care worked with lead stylist Odile collaborated with Rodarte creators Laura and Kate Mulleavy to develop a look that complemented the designers’ Fall/Winter 2014 collection—lauded by some critics as the brand’s most successful presentation to date—which was a nod to the carefree hair of the their youth. Because the hair was styled in long, messy waves, Odile utilized John Frieda® Hair Care products that would keep hair healthy while also maintaining texture, understanding that the style could veer to damaged and scraggly without the right stylers. The result: ephemeral and nostalgic creating a beautiful glow. To view the Multimedia News Release, go to http://www.multivu.com/mnr/65957-john-frieda-hair-care-rodarte-fall-winter-2014

Regional winners of the Rotten Sneaker Contest® gathered at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Times Square for the 2016 national competition. Six contestants from across the country, ages seven to thirteen, went head-to head in New York City today to show off their foul smelling sneakers for a chance to win the national title. But only one pair of sneakers could be crowned the winner and they belonged to 12 year old, Mason Young-Hiss, from Berthoud, CO. The Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest is the ultimate test that shows how offensive kids’ sneakers can get when they are playing outdoors, splashing through puddles, slogging through mud and more. The contest has a long history (over 40 years) and kids from across the country look forward to this annual event in their hometown. Participants take pride in mucking up their shoes to stand out from their competitors to ultimately win over the judges. Sneakers are judged on the interior and exterior conditions of the shoe, and most importantly odor, by a professional panel that includes NASA “Master Sniffer” George Aldrich, Chemical Specialist for NASA space missions, and Rachel Herz, Ph.D., an expert and author on the psychology of smell. Additionally, Brittany Every, Marketing Manager of Ripley’s Believe Or Not! Times Square joined the expert judges this year. Brittany is accustomed to seeing the unexpected and unusual at Ripley’s so she was up for the task. On Wednesday, April 6, Viva® Brand teamed up with Hollywood actress and home/ DIY expert, Monica Potter, to host a dramatic clean-up benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Ventura. The event, held at Avenue Thrift & Vintage Store in Ventura, CA, demonstrated how Viva® Towels can transform used, forgotten items with just a thorough cleaning. Donated household items ranging from kitchen appliances to outdoor patio furniture were expertly cleaned with the unique textures of Viva® Towels and then donated to 22 deserving families across the Ventura community. The effort jumpstarts a national push to “Unleash Clean” across the country. Potter served as the Captain of the Viva® Clean Squad, motivating over 40 volunteers to “Unleash Clean” by scrubbing, polishing and shining up donated items from the kitchen, bathroom, living room and patio, showcasing the strength and durability of the towels. Viva® offers a choice of two types of everyday towels that work like cloth to stand up to any cleaning job in your home. Viva® Vantage® has a scrubby texture, great for shining stainless steel appliances and scrubbing grime off stovetops or patio furniture, while Viva® Towels have a signature soft and smooth texture for cleaning surfaces like countertops and coffee tables. To ensure a green event and minimize waste, Viva® Towels partnered with the City of Ventura to use natural household and eco-friendly cleaners so the towels could be composted afterwards. Abbott today announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the Masters HP™ 15mm rotatable mechanical heart valve, the world’s smallest mechanical heart valve, that will allow doctors to treat babies and toddlers in need of a mitral or aortic valve replacement. Until today, surgeons could only use a range of larger-sized valves to replace a pediatric heart valve that could not be repaired, and larger valves are often not suitable given the smaller size of children’s hearts. This dime-sized new valve is the first and only pediatric mechanical heart valve developed for newborns and infants, and offers hope for pediatric patients in urgent need of treatment who have no other approved options. As soon as I started to form lyrics for this song, my first thought was "I bet that Reekashade will love this .... therefore I'll dedicate this song to him" ... Reeka is an outstanding singer and exquisite gentleman who has supported me as I have supported him far before the Google era of Youtube which makes him a valuable commodity to me here as most who I've known since that time have either jumped ship or have become too big here to even acknowledge me further ..... "even though I'm still better than they could ever be in their wildest dreams" ...... Did I just say that? ...... Oh no .... That was my goldfish, Sid .... He always feed's my ego when he want's me to feed him back .... Here is Reeka's channel https://www.youtube.com/user/reekashade Thanks so much bro for being who you are. LYRICS: When I look out my window yeah, I can clearly see peace and love as the wind blow's love across the sea. And as I step out my doorway I can take this love in my hand. Hold it close to my heart and soul and share the love across this land.

I'm trying to think of something to say in behalf of this song but nothing come's to mind .... It was a really hard song to work on as with all of my other songs .... I had to save each new version of it on my external hard drive because I was working this song to the maximum capability of my musical program ... A couple of times, it froze up my computer and I wasn't able to save the changes ... I had to perform some extra research through forums on how to deal with the tech problems that I was faced with but in the end, I just took out my trusty hammer and I then had another conversation with my 2007 Intel quad-core computer about who run's this household and who is the boss and who is the bitch in this relationship ..... I first demonstrated my hammer on my coffee cup .... which I always hated the color of anyway .... and then with the most sinister glare that I could muster up, I then turned to my computer and said "If I don't have this song completed and on Youtube before the rise of the new moon .... you will be watching the rise of the new moon from outside .... all crammed up in the recycle bin while wearing this coffee cup on top of whatever is left of your circuitry .... You BUBBLY HEADED BOOBY !!!!! ...... Computers always heed to the voice of reason ..... The song is now done .... and I also now drink my coffee from a beer can.

Now that spring is here, flooding will be a major concern for many parts of the country. The Northeast and Midwest received an abundance of snow this winter. Boston alone received more than 108 inches, making 2014-2015 the snowiest season in the city’s history. Until the frozen ground thaws, melting snow and heavy rains cannot be absorbed and the excess water can overflow streams, rivers, and lakes. The average National Flood Insurance Program flood claim between 2010 and 2014 was more than $42,000. Without flood insurance, you could be left to carry the financial burden of flood damage. Madison Taliaferro spent weeks in the hospital in 2012. After a decade of suffering from cystic fibrosis, she underwent a double lung transplant. She powered through the difficult surgery and the recovery that followed –long days of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Her parents were there. Her best friend visited from Kansas. Grandparents rotated shifts so she was never alone. But one request still lingered. “I just wanted to see my dogs,” she remembers. Having suffered from the effects of chronic illness for the decade prior, Madison was no stranger to long days at home, isolated from the school germs that could turn her illness into a critical condition with a single sneeze. When her friends couldn’t visit, her dogs were there. But at the hospital, they weren’t.
