2013 Shanghai Tourism Festival opened on the evening of September 14. The Opening Ceremony Grand Parade, a legacy of the festival, gathered 32 performing teams from 23 countries and 21 sleek floats, providing tourists with a spectacular visual display on Shanghai’s Huaihai Road. It was the first time that teams from Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania and the Bahamas participated in the parade. Over 80 percent of the performing teams came from outside China. On December 4, 2013 a new Pulkovo Terminal 1 has started operating. Its total area exceeds 110,000 sq. m and it has a maximum capacity of 17 million passengers per year.
In the new terminal there are 88 check-in counters, 110 passport control booths, and 7 baggage belts, one of which can alternatively handle the luggage of passengers arriving by domestic or international flights. The terminal is equipped with jetways, 45 elevators, and 17 escalators. In compliance with the requirements of a barrier-free environment the terminal facilities are fully accessible for the people with disabilities.

Kubota Corporation today announced the grand opening of its new $73 million manufacturing facility at Kubota Industrial Equipment (KIE) in Jefferson, Ga. The 522,000-square-foot plant on the 88-acre site recently began production of Kubota’s 30- to 50-horsepower compact tractor models.
